Got the garden all tilled up....and Corn in the ground yesterday!!!! Woo hooo! Now to wait for the Almanac calendar days that I can plant the rest of it.

Sure hope your seed don't rot in the ground. Still terribly wet out this way and got 3 more inches of rain Monday.

If it stays just like it is for a few days and they germinate...shouldn't be a problem. The ground was sooooo just right for plantin. We didn't get anything other than just a tad of rain Monday and yesterday. Wasn't too wet to get in there with the tractor...and the lil garden tractor.

I'm getting glassy eyed just thinking of it. :p :p :p You'll be eating corn about the time ours comes out of the ground! I'm planting my onions seeds this week, and my pepper and tomato seeds in about 10 days, but it won't be in the garden, it'll be under lights in the house.

Oh well, it'll come in due time....

No hope of planting before the 20th of May and frosty things can't be outside before June 15th, but we can catch up with the longer hours of sunshine. Nothing better than fresh homegrown produce.

Peach trees are about to bloom here. The buds are showin and you can see pink. The redbuds are bloomin as well as all the pear trees. Lots of other trees are puttin on leaves. I won't be plantin the other stuff for a week or so yet, give or take.

As for New Taters. The answer to that is no. I don't like them. They taste like dirt, smell like dirt when they are cookin, and smell like dirt when they are on your plate. lol Just never cared for them.

Yeah I do....and the one's that are grown in Texas...and New Mexico, and Colorado.

I do however like new taters in crawfish boil with corn and mudbugs. The dirt smell/taste goes away when they are cooked like that LOL

hahaha Jassy i just read what I typed..and musta been havin one of those moments. Crawfish and mudbugs are the same thing. How I put both those in one sentence is beyond me.

Ok....I've reread it again. Crawfish boil....that's the seasoning I sent home with you....So think of that as one word. And mudbugs is just another word for crawfish.

BTW that's what Lil Lilly informed us she wants for her birthday dinner tomorrow.

I looked at the time I posted that.....can't use the excuse that it was late at night or early in the mornin cuz it was close to noon. Come on....hang with me here on this Jassy...your a blonde you should get it LOL
