Gibbs Accuses Reporter Asking About "Fishy" Emails Of Having "Nefarious Plot"

then moves onto next reporter, instead of clarifying.

I'm paraphrasing

question:is flag.gov not required by law to advise the writer of those emails they have been forwarded onto the WH?

does the writer of said email not have the opportunity to correct the information provided?

Liberals should be outraged about this! We all should.

Obama is asking people to forward emails to them. So if I send R2 and email with my opinions on Health Care Obama is asking her to forward that to him so he can spy on me.

This is probably one of the most over stepping, breaking the constitution and freedom of speech issues ever done.

Didn't Nixon get in trouble for sending people out to record conversations at anti war rallies? This is the same thing!

Can anyone Justify this?

How can people like fff have problems with Patriot Act and not blow their tops over something like this?

How can you liberals defend this man? How is this any change?

Only Change we are seeing is Escalating of all the things you did not like about Bush!

Obama is an evil and bad man for the U.S. and you Liberals just stand by him!

Really surprised none of you are outraged over this :?

The President wanting people to forward emails from other people saying bad things about Health Care.

This is Chicago intimidation politics at its best!

They aren't outraged because they refuse to acknowledge it for what it reallly is. They've found someway to justify it and look the other way, just as they did on the Rezko deal, the Wright deal, the Ayers deal, the New Party deal, etc......

I don't like it, ok? I don't like it anymore than I like Bush and Cheney's warrantless wiretapping program, that is still in effect, that results in "names, phone numbers, IP addresses, e-mails, and other sensitive and private information being intercepted and retained by the government."

So which is worse? Fishy emails or warrantless wiretapping...or is one just as much a violation of our rights as the other? Or is the difference that warrantless wiretapping was implemented by a conservative administration and fishy emails are being asked for by a liberal administration?

They are BOTH wrong.....I do believe I spoke out about the wiretapping....

From what it looks like is your saying "since Bush did this it is ok for obama to do that...."
Come on alice they are both wrong so why are you not speaking out against this?
What is going to happen when they have investigated me and others like me speaking out for free speach and then find us guilty for whatever then lock us up....next they come for your freedom who is left to speak out for your loss of rights? Or is it ok for the government , who works FOR us, to say if you speak out your a danger and need to be in prison? I know some on here are just waiting on the rightwingnuts to be either locked up or as they say mass suicide. Does that not bother you that some are willing for one group to lose its rights just because they are wingnuts?

This has NOTHING to do with R or D is about rights beings stripped and liberty being shut down.
I know you are getting tired of me talking about the Declaration of Indepndence but it is the framework for our country.....

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.
To me that is what is scaring government right now.....it has nothing to do with R or D it is about power and they want to control everything in everyones lives and they are being confronted with half the population who says NO.
No this did NOT beguin with obama it started about 30 years ago....sorry at 16 I wasnt informed enough to say it was wrong. Sorry, I did speak out when I started seeing our rights being taken away. Maybe I should have been more vocal but better late than never, when there are no more rights.
I am sitting here trying to figure out how you can accept even more loss of rights when you were so vocal about the wiretapping? I am not accusing I am really trying to figure that out. I would think you would be glad for more people joining you in voicing our anger about our rights.

Gibbs lied or he is incompetent.

"We're not keeping any list of names"

By law, are you not required to keep any correspondence with the WH?

"I don't understand the question, Next question"

Re-read it, Sage, I don't like either one. And I asked which was more a violation of our rights? Or are they BOTH a violation. I don't see how you can put worse on either one, when they are both a violation.

And Sage, where did I say that I wasn't happy with there being a protest made...to either violation. You either read too much into something, or don't read enough. I dunno! I'm tired of defending myself when in essence I've agreed.

And Hypocrite! Your name says it all! I said I did NOT LIKE EITHER, and asked which was worse, or were they both a violation and you come back with..."Well, now you have both!" Talk about a diversion!!!!!!

Don't care for either but the so called "warrantless wiretapping" has been expanded by the Obama adminstration.

I guess this is what happens when you don't question one very signifigant lie like a fraudulent COLB, you get many other lies, that affect your life in more substantial ways.

Elections have consequences.

You ask which is worse then ask if both are wrong then turn around and ask if it is because a liberal is doing this......
Does it matter what the reason for the outrage? Hail we are joining you in these violations.

I was asking why you are not more vocal about the loss of BOTH?

I'm tired of defending myself when in essence I've agreed
How about coming right out and agreeing?
How about instead of playing the word game so you have an out either way you make a stand?

More diversion, Hypocrite? This has gone from fishy emails to your passion...the COLB! And you have the gall to accuse others of diversion...no, to whip and beat and insult others with YOUR claim of diversion. Bah!

Diversion from what. You voted for a liar. You're starting to pay the price, for believing a lying Marxist.

no Diversion at all, straight to the point.

What happened to all of you whining about how the evil liberals diverted threads to away from the topic? You are a glaring example of doing just that...fishy emails to the COLB.

Amazing...

Diverting from what?

Obama is a liar, you voted for him, you were duped, and now you are going to pay a price for your blindly following, without checking into his background.

diverting from what?

You sit back and make excuses for the man everytime he spews another lie.

He's trying to intimidate people into silence. He's showing contempt for citizens.

How many more ways can I be direct.

You got exactly what you wanted. The voters have spoken.

It was all there to see, if you had done some research and had questioned his first act of contempt.

no the topic of this thread is intimidation, lying and deceit and privacy.

You make excuses for him, when it comes to privacy and then he demands that you give yours up

the COLB/BC issue is a perfect example of the contempt this adminstration has shown for the voters.
