Global warming causeing epic northeast snow storm

As winter storm/blizzard his the north east,.. the citys are attempting to prepare for them.. so I expect a huge cluster ---- and that to dominate the news after this Epic Record breaker sweeps past.

so far the news have not linked the two.. but I would bet that they will blame "climate change" before this storm hits the record books..

I have been busy tracking down plow parts for a friend.. and one thing I realized is that the plows aren't worth the trouble compared to the work you get out of them.. especially if it is just a side job...

on the other hand if this global warming keeps up, I might be wrong...

Could this storm have been caused by the emissions from the use of snow plows during the last storm? This could be a vicious cycle. The next storm will surely be a B****!

Bridgeport, CT Mayor Bill Finch (D) thanked MSNBC anchor Al Sharpton for “fighting the good fight on climate change” during a report on Winter Storm Juno on Monday’s “PoliticsNation.”

After urging residents to stay off the roads and reporting that emergency workers were ensuring that the elderly and homeless population were taking care of, Finch told Sharpton “thank you for your show, Reverend, you’ve been fighting the good fight on climate change, and we can see the crazy climate here, and we’d like to have a little bit more of you down in Washington.”

They have it all figured out up there. Get on your bicycle and pedal through the snow. You'll make national news. Wonder who that bicycle belongs to in the first place? Seems like a bike for a 10 year old kid.

I only make good money plowing snow about 1 year out of 10 but I need the equipment for my own roads and my subdivisions and I plow all the landlords that I rent farm ground from.

The only real money I have made was in the blizzard of 1978 - - - so far I have spent about 30 minutes putting the blade on one of the dump trucks and I plowed with it about 30 minutes.

I will leave the blade on for a while but I really hope to not need it again this year. Last year we had about 60" over the winter - - - so far we have had 3" but we have been running about 15*F below normal for the last several years. We are cold enough but the moisture always seems to accompany a brief warm up and comes as rain.

The state and county only call me when we have 10" or more in a day or if we get large drifts.

Locally we do not get enough snow to justify having a snow plow.. it was nice,.. as it came with the truck.. so it did pay for itself.

I think I will still make a few dollars off my plow,.. when I sell it.

it must have been a real slow news cycle... as this blizzard was cancelled locally due to a lack of interest..

how it went from 5" to 9" to a dusting is a mystery..

and we are supposed to believe the same meteorologists when they claim to know the world is warming?

Good point!

As I listened to the news and weather stations talking about a blizzard of 'epic porportions', I was reminded of the Atlas storm Oct. 2013 that killed so much livestock in SD.
It was barely mentioned on the news. :? :???:

In all fairness, the meteorologists only missed the storm location by a hundred miles or so.

Given all the unpredictability built in weather, I think they do a great job.
