GM, Chrysler's sales suffer after bailouts
William Ehart (Contact)

"Government Motors" is driving Americans away.

There is a groundswell of disdain for the federal bailouts of General Motors and Chrysler, even as polls show that a growing "Buy American" sentiment is boosting sales for the only Detroit automaker that avoided bankruptcy and federal rescue - Ford.

You gonna buy "ricegrinders" FH :???:

I left FORD years ago because they didn't have a motor that would hold up then......

Many folks I know involved with agriculture and timber long ago left FORD because of their involvements- and continuing profits they put toward the Liberal "greeny weeny" movement....

My local dealer almost blew an aortic gasket when he saw the articles in the Agri News and Livestock Journals a couple years back- tracing the funding going into an coming out of the Ford Foundation to the anti agriculture/anti timber industries ....
For more than a century, the "Ford Foundation is a resource for innovative people and institutions worldwide." The Foundation's stated goals are to:

Strengthen democratic values
Reduce poverty and injustice
Promote international cooperation
Advance human achievement
As one of the largest mainstream foundations, Ford has been singled out for criticism by conservative groups seeking to 'defund the left'.

Well- I'll probably support the GM/Dodge boy crew so they can pay back the taxpayers that much faster- and get government out of being involved in any ownership.....

Always did buy from outfits I owned "shares" in or had money invested in...

I would never buy a Chevy or Dodge! Ford is making it on there own so far and they should be rewarded for that!

I would buy Ford or Toyota! I hope Chevy and Dodge fail they are cheating the Market and getting an unfair advantage over competition.

I could care less if they pay it back because all the Government will do is put it in some other slush fund and give it to someone else, that money is in Obama's system and will stay there!

The money that went to Chevy and Dodge is money that was missed by that big California vacuum. That is the only good thing there is to say about it.

Go Ford!

From wikipedia:

Other than its name, the Ford Foundation has not had any connections to the Ford Motor Company nor the Ford family for over thirty years. Henry Ford II, the last family member on the board of trustees, resigned from the foundation board in 1976, encouraging foundation staff to remain open to new ideas and work to strengthen the country’s economic system.

Obama's mother worked for the Ford Foundation though, under the direction of Peter Geithner, Tim's father.

Tim's maternal Grandfather (Charles F. Moore) was an advisor to President Eisenhower, and vice pres. of the Ford Foundation.

I wonder if Tim and Barack ever had the chance to play together as children?

interesting stuff when you read up on the connections all these people had with the banking industry, CFR and the FED.

Also interesting is the connections between the ford Foundation and Fannie and Freddie.
