What kind of elevation were the goats at?
the goats were down toward the bottom of Snake River Canyon above Alpine WY. so not much higher then 5500 ft there but the mountain go up a few thousand behind them

Think Idaho planted the goats down in the palisade area and as the herd grew there quite q few in Snake River Canyon over in Wyoming.
We usually drive up the Hoback to Cabin Creek and see big horn sheep this time of year also we would go up the Gros Ventre to see some. These were up behind the hospital in Jackson about 3 to 5 miles inside the National Elk Refuge.

Finally got around to seeing them! AWESOME!!!! I have 14 desert bighorn points here in Utah which means i will likely draw a tag in 2078  But somebody has to get lucky and maybe it will be me. Cool pics Jody.
