Going in fo surgery

We are headin' to Sheridan in a little while. I'm going in for surgery early in the morning, and I'm getting nervous now. I fell and ruptured a disc in my back last fall and I'm finally getting it fixed. Thinking about them cutting so close to some important parts is plumb scary. Say a prayer for me please and I will be back soon.

Thankyou very much for the prayers and kind words everyone. It really meant a lot to me knowing that kind people are still out there. That's what is so nice about this site. I know that when I come here I'm not going to be subjected to trash and smut. At the moment my muscles are fairly sore. The procedure they did is a pretty new way to do it, and my doc was one of the ones who was in on the development. He just made 2 one inch incisions down low in each backstrap. The they insert a tube in each and inflate them. This gives him room to remove the bad disc and install the new spacer. The old way to do it was to fillet the backstrap off of the bone. That is why so many people had trouble afterward. They injected some happy juice in my IV and then wheeled me into the operating room. There I got something to knock me out. The next thing I know, I'm in recovery and done. They don't actually cut the back muscles they wiggle thru and around. Eliminating all but the bare minimum scar tissue. The muscles they went thru are all that hurts and that's to be expected. If anyone in this region needs neuro-spine work done, I very highly recommend Dr. John Schneider. He has an office in Billing, Sheridan and Cody. After seeing 4 docs here in Gilltte and getting 4 different diagnosis, I had a friend refer me to Dr. Scheider. This man is great with no cocky arrogance. He was very concerned and caring and his staff is impeccable. I will be down for a while till I heal up, so I get to keep bugging everyone here. So lookout OT and AG. I'm ready to argue. Thanks again everyone. I appreciate the prayers. Knowing i y'all were bending Gods ear on my behalf helped calm my fears. Have a very blessed day everyone.

Thanks for the update, glad everything went well.
You are in good hands in the Sheridan hospital. I was
there with my dad a lot, and found the staff to be very
caring and helpful.

Good to know there is a different procedure available.

Keep us posted!

Goodmorning everyone. NR, I tried to talk the Hostile Native into letting me go to the Mint. I got the "LOOK". That was a definite no go. Whenever I go to Sheridan, the Mint is always a stop. Not this time though. She said "NOOO". Apparently the Dr. told her I was not to imbibe in my Canadian juice until I'm off of the antibiotics. Although she did let me walk thru Kings for a few minutes. I bet I looked funny wearing sweatpants, hoody, Nike sneakers and my hat. LOL. I was so high though I didn't have any business going in there. I have been looking for a new hat though. Oh well, while I was put under she went and bought a dog kennel for me, so I will be going back in a few days to pick that up.

I wonder why three of my fav bars I've ever been in are all around there-the Mint in Sheridan, the Invasion Bar in Kaycee-my buddy Crosby Taylor runs it and the 'turd Pond' in Buffalo not sure it's real name but evereybody in Buffalo calls it that because it's by the water treatment plant. I stop at King's everytime through it's really a special place. I've had alot of fun down in that country with the Schiffer's.

Heck NR, maybe we are related. Those are my favorites too. The real name of the Turd Pond is really "The Cowboy Bar" it was shut down for a while recently, but now has a new owner. When I head that direction, I always have certain places to stop no matter what. Tom Baldings shop is another place I always stop too. I usually stop the when I don't have the "Hostile Native" with me though. For some reason she thinks I have enough bits. LOL. Have you ever eaten at the Winchester Steakhouse in Buffalo. If not you should. Its great grub priced right. It just down the street from the Turd Pond.
