Well off to Assinaboia for 4H Public speaking finals nothing like an 750 mile public speaking road trip. Megan's last year in 4H so hope she does well-they'll be some great speakers there for sure.
Well Megan didn't manage to win but it's pretty tough sledding there-alot of great speakers there. I know that my Dodge Caravan will go 80 miles an hour-a very nice policeman clocked it for me and even signed a piece of paper and autographed it for me so I can show my friends lol. I gpot to hook up with a buddy from Realtree.com and go shed hunting for a few hours and visited with some great folks all weekend so it was a good trip.
Well Northern Rancher, forget them horn hunting, give a big hurrah to your daugther, and be happy she did that well. The Realtree guys don't count, red lights sometimes do, I know you will go anyway, but give a hug anyway. LOL
Great, got up at five went to Outlook, got a trailer ready and got moved home and set down by six, all for the kids. They do come first. Cory, did you find any good ones?
Not this time-found a little cluster of elk remains though not just sure what would of caused it-maybe a Cat I'm thinking. Assinaboia is a nice little town we had a good time there.
NORTHERN: There's a spot in a valley in Riding Mountain National Park we'd go through when trail riding.Must have been the elks favorite spot for scrapping. Pile of elk have died there with their horns locked together. Just bones and antlers(horns)? Some huge racks, some we could untangle but most we couldn't. Pretty interesting place to ride through.
A couple guys tried but had to leave them at the park gate because its a federal government park. Kind of a waste I think because there was some real nice sets.I think this spot was probably like wolf heaven, finding a couple locked up bull elk is a pretty easy meal.
