Transition advisers to President-elect Barack Obama have compiled a list of about 200 Bush administration actions and executive orders that could be swiftly undone to reverse the president on climate change, stem cell research, reproductive rights and other issues, according to congressional Democrats, campaign aides and experts working with the transition team.

To the victors go the spoils. This is common practice when it comes to executive orders. Bush reversed Clinton, Clinton reversed Bush, Reagan reversed Carter, etc. Why do you think it's news?

Western ranchers sure can't be excited. If he reverses President Bush's orders on Grazing and his directives to the Forest Service and BLM. Wonder how long until he issues orders for more wilderness and national monuments? Restricts off-road use? And more radical enviro disguised "global warming" agenda items? And he is only Pres. elect! Where's the tums? Here we go! But you liberals only care about fellow libs right? Screw the families of the people affected by mindless politics! Serves the "stupid" conservatives right, eh?

You can blame it all you want to on the Dems or the Liberals- but the blame goes back to an incompetent and corrupt Republican President that the Republican party refused to rein in- and threw out all their old conservative principles in blindly following and rubber stamping his actions...

Thats the reason the Repubs got arse kicked in 06- and got their arses again given to them in a hand basket on Nov 4th...

Bush's Legacy.....

Let me get this straight. You're saying that if things are worse four years from now, after four years of a Democratic president and an overwhelmingly Democratic House and Senate, it'll STILL be Bush's and the Republican's fault? That's laughable. You're going to have to let that crap go sometime, man.

That is not what I said (and I can't figure out how you interpreted it that way  )....The Repubs loss- both in 06 and now is because of GW Bush- and the Repub Party that forgot what the Repub party and conservatives historically have stood for and did nothing to stop him... No other....

I've said for 3-4 years that if they didn't change their direction the Backlash was building- and on Nov. 4th the people of the nation unleashed it... Also 3 years ago- I'd have said a black man could never win in the US... About a year ago, I could tell anyone that opposed Bush and Bush policy could/would win.....

This was mostly a vote against Bush- and the new Republicanism economics...People wanted a "change" in direction...

A team of four dozen advisers, working for months in virtual solitude, set out to identify regulatory and policy changes Obama could implement soon after his inauguration. The team is now consulting with liberal advocacy groups, Capitol Hill staffers and potential agency chiefs to prioritize those they regard as the most onerous or ideologically offensive, said a top transition official who was not permitted to speak on the record about the inner workings of the transition.

can we say behind closed doors? so much for "change" where's OT's outrage now?

"Smells just like the past 7 1/2 stinky years of secrecy,... we had in the White House that so many folks are tired of.... "

How in the hell did Bush do ANYTHING the last 2 years? Pelosi & Co. controlled Congress. Bush can't do things all by his lonesome. Your god-like Demoncrats, whom you hold in such high regard, Old Komrade, helped Bush EVERY STEP OF THE WAY! To read your posts, it is clear that your mind has gone. I know and used to know plenty of old folks who became obsessed with minor things that didn't really matter, even if it ended up costing them plenty. :p :?

I used to put up a nice little patch of alfalfa for a guy who was close to 80. It was less than a mile from my place, so it was handy to do. I told him to hang on and I would sell his hay when I sold my half, and I could get a good price for it. I had just got the 3rd cutting baled and ricked, and he sold his half to a guy down the road for $10/bale. These bales weighed 1500# and I ended up getting $70/ton for my half that fall. He pooped his pants when I told him what I sold mine for, but his reason for selling his first 3 cuttings was because he didn't like seeing the ricked bales, and the guy who bought the hay from him was a "nice guy". He didn't have to obsess over the hay any more after he sold it. He left a LOT of money on the table with that deal.

Old Komrade is more obsessed about Bush than that guy was his hay. THAT is scary!
