We went to see our daughter play in a Christmas production in the Denver area on Friday. On the way home, I went around Robin Hood’s barn. The moon was full, and snow covered the rolling, timbered hills of the Bijou Basin. It was a pretty drive. A long drive with plenty of time for reflections. The night was pretty, but really like many other nights. Then, I heard the song sung, “O Holy Night.” The thing that sat that night apart from any other, before or since, was Christ’s birth. It is a struggle to keep the night Holy and non-commercialized, isn’t it. I guess Christ is what made it Holy to begin with, and it is up to us to keep Him as the central focus to make the night Holy, or set apart for His purposes. Just a couple of weeks away, now……….better get ready! The way to be ready is to focus on Him for the next two weeks. Have a good Sunday mornin’ and God Bless.
