The Libertarian Party recognizes 2016 Presidential candidates who have campaign websites, are dues-paying members of the LP, have met all U.S. Constitutional requirements to serve in office as president, and are not running for the nomination of any other political party. They have also filed with the FEC, with the exception of Darryl Perry, who has chosen not to file, as a protest against the FEC, claiming that it lacks constitutional authority.

No candidates are endorsed by the party, nor will be, until delegates select the party's nominee at the LP national convention on May 26-30, 2016 in Orlando, Florida.

I am still voting as a republican in the NJ primaries for Cruz.. beyond that I doubt I could EVER support let alone vote for trump.

why is it all these millionaires / billionaires are such eccentric egomaniacs?

With Trump’s ratings stable, and Clinton’s favorability in rapid decline, third parties will be competing against the most unpopular field of candidates in modern times.

I had a call from quinnipiac yesterday on the caller ID so I answered,.. once I said I would consider libertarian she said the "survey was over"... no wonder a third party can't get any traction...

Glad to see that you're not a convenient conservative, Steve. Plenty talk the talk, but when it gets down to the nut cutting, they sure don't walk the walk.

There is but one objective this election..................Beat Hillary. Since there's no way Cruz, or any of the rest of the Republicans or Libertarians stand a chance at that except for one, there's only one person to vote for. Simple.

It's complete idiocy to be mad at the rest of the pack because your man didn't resonate with the voters.

Sen. Bob Corker said it best about Cruz, "I didn't go to Princeton or Harvard, but I can count to 51".

I actually preferred Rand Paul,... but the guy just wasn't politically savvy enough..

so for now I will see what the libertarians do and wait to get my chance to vote in June... a little late ,..

since Trump and his supporters really don't care what we think now that he has become the presumptive nominee then maybe I should "return the favor" and throw my full support behind Trump and vote for him in early Jan.. (sarcasm)

Like the ones wanting to throw the election to Hillary? They're not.

Trump first registered as a Republican in '87, I believe at the age of 41. In contrast, Reagan registered as a Republican at about the age of 51. Trump has been a Republican, Democrat, and Independent, with a stretch not being registered at all. Maybe that almost makes him a Libertarian :???:  . Not a life long Democrat.

Mitt Romney lost because he didn't really inspire people to put in the effort to vote for him, and certainly not to have any significant numbers cross over, not to mention not hitting the Benghazi attack hard enough. I don't really believe that the "far right" thought that another term of Obama would be the answer. Nothing against Mormons, but I think that may have hurt him more. Now it's almost pathetic to listen to him bluster in his state of insignificance.

Cruz went on to rail against Romney, arguing his toned down rhetoric cost him the election in 2012. “Part of the reason why Mitt Romney got clobbered by Barack Obama is because we all remember that third debate where Barack Obama turned to Mitt and said ‘I said the Benghazi attack was terrorism and no one is more upset by Benghazi than I am’ and Mitt, I guess listening to his own advice, said, ‘well gosh I don’t want to use any rhetoric so OK, never mind, I’ll just kind of rearrange the pencil on the podium here,”’ said Cruz.

He is a registered Republican in the State of New York as of the year 2009. It is interesting to note that Donald Trump was once a Democrat, and he actually switched over to the Democrat party in 2001

Month and year of registration

Party affiliation

July 1987 Republican

October 1999 Independence Party

August 2001 Democrat

September 2009 Republican

December 2011 No party affiliation (independent)

April 2012 Republican

a New York City republican is a liberal... but you will find that out the hard way....

and we will say... we told you...

And when you end up with this, we will just say "congratulations".

those of you who jumped on the trump bandwagon without looking at his past and electability, are also confusing support for vote..
so don't try to blame me for your crappy @ZZ liberal candidate with his foot constantly stuck in his load mouth.

your MORE to blame if Hillery gets elected then I am as I haven't even voted yet...

if trump loses to her it's because he lost it to her..

I have said KNOWING about trumps actions and how he says one thing and does another.. I doubt I could ever support him..
and at this point if a viable third party conservative or libertarian candidate, they will have my vote..

so really keep yelling we conservatives hear you and for the most part we don't like your obnoxious yelling.. cuase it is hard to agree with a person acting like a jackass

Great! Vote for that "viable" third party. Here's your sign.

you trump supporters are about as good at trump in convincing others to support him

I would rather stand alone then stand with a bunch of [email protected] who mock anyone who disagrees with them.

as for viable third party... everyone said he didn't have a chance and was just pulling a stunt... there was "just enough" protest vote to get him there.. I bet alot of those mugs now regret that vote...

So, yes, Trump will probably set a new record for total votes. But he'll also probably end up as the highest-vote-getting candidate with the lowest percentage of the vote since 1968

so a third party candidate has plenty of NOT trump and NOT hillery voters to pick-off...

like everyone said last year... no way would he ever win.. it was just a stunt... so go ahead and laugh away..
anything is possible in this election..
