The silence of the day might be your answer....There isn't any.....

Heres how I see them as of now......

Guiliani tops the Repubs now-- and he is a liberal in Republican clothing--completely a neocon- that up til 10 years ago ran as a Liberal or as a Democrat-- that outlawed NY city employees from turning in illegal immigrants while he was mayor....A second- tho more liberal GW- with even more personal baggage than GW with his many affairs/wives...Thats all we need is another like GW that picks and chooses which laws he wants to obey..... :(

Paul is the most conservative of the announced candidates- but has a snowballs chance in He!!-- about the same with Tancredo, who is about the next most conservative....Newt ain't running yet--but I don't think he is electable because of his ethics censure and romances....Romney is another neocon elitist with many liberal views- that is heavily tied to the Corporate world- and won't get the backing of many of the southern Christian conservatives because of his being a Morman....McCain cooked his goose supporting immigration amnesty...Fred Thompson hasn't even announced and is already running into problems getting money...He's another with big ties to the Big Corporates, having worked for years as a lobbyist....

The Republican Party is so disorganized they can't find a decent candidate..I don't think they have any that can win...

The Dems are no better- but are united enough to produce a winner- with Hillary and Obama...Hillary probably has the most cattle experience with her cattle futures trading scandal with Tyson and Bills ties to former Ag Secretaries Espy's chicken scandal...
Don't think Edwards knows what a cow looks like unless one was involved in one of his ambulance chaser law suits.....Bill Richardson at least comes from a cattle state (NM)-- but he can't win...Will probably end up being V.P.

Right now it looks like it probably end up being an all Liberal election-- Guiliani vs Hillary/Richarson or Hillary/Obama....I don't think even as hated as Hillary is-- that there is any Republican that can beat a Hillary/Richardson ticket-- which will not only pull all the Liberals/Democrat vote- but 90% of the black and latinos.....

Just don't forget which party is closest to the environmental nutcases, and how many adhere to the agenda that raising cattle is using up all the precious water resources, polluting streams, and causing global warming to a much greater degree than even the whole transportation sector.

Good reminder Cal--sometimes I get so tied up in my wishful searching for a tinge of morality and honesty left in D.C. or Corporate America that I forget the enviro issues altogether...Maybe thats cause since the tribes took all the water rights and the game range took all the grazing, I keep forgetting there is anything left...

I think the lack of honesty and morality in Washington and Corporate America is a far greater threat to EVERYONE'S way of life than all the enviromental issues rolled into one thing!

If I understand you correctly you are saying to ignore the envirowacko's because there are other problems worse.
Lefties can only think of one thing at a time I suppose.
