Prices held, they were a little lower, but not a whole lot.

Junior, the red dogie we raised on a bottle from the time he was about a day old, weighed 310# and brought $131.00! Yee Haw!!!!

Al's crossbred steer weighed 600# and brought $105.00......YEE HAW!!!!!!!!!

Some of the "other" brother's, dad's, and boss' cattle were as follows:

Dale's oldest brother: 7 mixed steers, ave. 396#, $125.
1 red steer, 465#, $112.

Dale's younger brother: 1 Hereford bull, 2,015#, $55.75.

Dale's dad: 2 mixed heifers, ave 703#, $94.00.

Dale's dad's boss: 5 red heifers, ave 497#, $97.00.
6 red heifers, ave 544#, $95.05.
1 black heifer, 405#, $109.00.
1 red packer cow, 1,650#, $43.75.

One of the neighbors of my dad, sold a black packer cow, weighed 1,310#, brought $44.25.

Not bad, all in all. I can hardly wait to see what the Holstein steer we sent weighed. They had 2 Holstein bulls, that went for $54.75 (1900#) and $55.00 (2135#).........not great, but not too bad for dairy stock in a beef market.

Al's gonna be thrilled with his price.......his check will be $600.56, after they subtract yardage, commission, etc.
