Just got back from #1 son's Graduation and there is cattle out everywhere they ain't supposed to be.
Guess what I'm doing at sun-up tomorrow morning!!!!
Either lightening took out a fence charger or coyotes and or wolves put them through the fence. Regardless.... no point in trying to round them up in the dark. Hopefully they won't go too far!!!.......Hopefully!!!

being the neighborly fella I am, if they make it this far, I will lock them up in the lots and give you a call.

Congrats of the Grad. Now your son can go out and make his fortune while he stills knows everything. If you wait until your out age it's to late, we must have forgotten everything we knew at 18

As it turned out, it was no big deal getting the cattle back in. It was just a small group of yearling and 2 yr.old heifers that had been hand fed grain over the winter. They had knocked a gate down and were all within 200 yds of it in the morning. A pail of oats and a "C'mon Girls" was all it took to get them in. :)
Glad that all the Grad stuff is over with. It was a fun, but busy, week. The Kid is planning on going to work in the oilpatch.
I'm hoping he will give me an "allowance" or at least a loan!! :)

Congrats to your son Tim!! As for cattle being out there hasnt been a day this week that the neighbor hasnt been calling upon us at sun up to come have a look at these cattle that are at his place. Funny thing is there hasnt been one group that has been ours yet... :???: Kinda dangerous around here if cattle get out because the railroad tracks are only a couple miles north. Guess it wont matter if the natives block th tracks next week.
