Before and after.

The mill charged $144 to saw those logs I figured it was a good deal. Sure gonna make some nice corrals...

That is a good deal Denny. $144 won't get you many boards here. Last I checked it was $9 for a 2x6 by 16 rough cut.

The weight you got back is sure lots less than you took, kinda like butchering a beef.

The tree's were all standing dead and were rotten in at least 2" so they slabbed them pretty thick to get to the good lumber.

Was it a regular sawmill, with a big round blade or a bandsaw? When Mr Lilly's dad saws up lumber he looses roughly 1/4 inch with every pass due to the thickness of the round blade. Bandsaws dont take out near that much, and the cut is alot smoother.

They were cut with a blade mill. The guy has a good mill so that makes for even lumber.I checked into the guys with bandmills.I could have just went and purchased lumber cheaper the savings on sawdust did'nt outweigh the cost.
