The Animal and Veterinary Sciences (AVS) Department at Clemson University is seeking highly motivated graduate students (MS / PhD) to join our reproductive physiology team. Research involves applied technologies such as estrous/ovulation synchronization, embryo transfer, in vitro fertilization, and artificial insemination, as well as basic and molecular approaches to better understand follicular development, oocyte competence, and recombinant gonadotropin development in a variety of livestock species. Teaching and research assistantships are available and competitive with other Land Grant Universities. The AVS Dept. has access to horses, dairy and beef cattle, pigs, small ruminants, poultry, and lab animals plus histology, modern molecular biology, and analytical chemistry core facilities. Clemson University is located in northwest South Carolina equidistant from Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC and has an enrollment of over 16,500 students. Please contact John Gibbons [email protected] or at the annual IETS meeting in Denver; January, 2008 (cell = 864-650-0169).
