Besides, it's what grandparents are for. You spoil the grandkid to get even with the kid and all they put you thru' when they were littler and younger!

Ahhh, paybacks!

This is the best Easter rabbit story I have. One of our neighbors is always up to something, hence the nick name "Beans". Beans seems to always brand the day before Easter, so a few years ago we were down there helping him brand. Another neighbor was there with his daughter, she was probably 5 or 6 years old, had her horse and was there to help with her dad. Got the branding done, went up to the house to eat, left all of the horses out of the trailers will we were eating. Well Beans had me go out to help him "check the meat on the grill". He had a box full of rabbits in the garage that we went out and put in the trailer of the dad and the little girl with the lid open. So when every one got done eating, they go out to load up there horses and go home. The dad opens up the trailer door so the little girl can load up her horse and here is these cute little baby bunnies, she had to take them home! Only Beans and I knew what all the cussing and yelling was about. About a month later we were at another guys place gathering a pasture to brand, the same little girl was there on her horse. Beans and I rode by a pond, there were some baby Canadian geese so Beans got off, caught two of them and put them in his short pocket. Soon as we got the cattle in the corrals he rode over to the little girl and handed her the baby geese, and said to go put them in your pickup and don't tell your dad where they came from. Every little kid needs some animals to take care of

Cute story sw,your friend sounds like quite a character.I agree every kid needs an animal to look after BUT our grandsons one year old,his parents live in a condo, that doesn't allow pets at all....sooo GRAMPA gets to look after BUGS BUNNY...LOL :? ya right!

Mrs Greg, I know some condo communities have rules about exterior of the condo, such as garbage has to be placed here for pick up, no junk cars allowed in the driveway, etc etc. Is there a rule for having a little bunny hutch outside, close to bushes (to help protect bunny from the elements)?? I think it's good for a kid to have an animal to take care of. I had bunnies when I was a kid, Montana Cowgurl has one outside, I don't consider it a "pet" but I do "pet" it because it seems to want touching once in awhile.
