His mother is pretty dark complected (she's half hawian) so I always teae her and tell; her he is my little Mexican vaquero. She had a hard time believing me when I told here there were cowboys in hawai before there were cowboys in this part of the country.

Its sooooo fun to watch the expressions on their faces at that age when they are learnin "ranch stuff". From the wonder and excitement of baby calves, to that first rope....and the drawn together lil eye brows in concentration, or frustration.......it's somethin ya dont wanna miss.
That is probably one of the greatest things about being or working on a ranch. Gettin' to take your kids along and watching them grow up, instead of just seeing them in the evening, when you get home from work.
That is, for those of us who were privledged to get to do that.
You have a sweet little grandboy there Jinglebob! Thats what I did Yesterday,babysat my grandson from 7am-11pm,Mom at teachers conference and dad at school then work.I LOVED Every minute,although must admit don't remember my two being that active....hmmm could it be my age LOL.Grand children ARE the greatest!!
