Just wanted to say how cool it's been looking at pictures of all the various operations and of the blizzards. The Sand Hills are just simply gorgeous and looks so peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of the cities.

Yes, this is my first post. Farming and Agriculture is in my blood, even though i'm not in the industry today and probably will never be. I have several uncles and best friends who farm so that keeps my interest going.

Just as a side note, my step-dad grew up on a dairy/stock cow operation in South Central S.D., West River, just miles from the Nebraska border.

Hope everyone is having a good harvest.

Yup welcome. I am also intrigued by the sandhills and the ranchers that steward them. There are many similarities to where I am in Southern Alberta.

Welcome..we like to see any pictures you might have also! :)

I was going through some old pictures the other night helping my sister on a Christmas project she's doing for my Mom & step-dad and came across some various pictures that I took as a kid 20 years at my grandparent's (step-dad's side of the family) farm/ranch in South Dakota that I suppose I could post, depends on well they scan into a jpeg format.

Welcome.
There are even some on here that don't like looking at "boring old cow pictures". :p

I find anything from different areas interesting. Old pics with a story to go with them are especially good.
