Those of you who have used the Grow Safe system to measure net feed intake.
Have you found any blood lines that are more efficient?
I would be interested to hear from Canadians about their new epd's
for feed efficiency
I would also like to hear from Texas A&M and West Virginia
1st cutting Alfalfa is selling in the field for $130.
who knows what corn will cost at harvest
It is my understanding that today's cattle on test range from 4.7 lbs of feed per pound of gain to 8.3 lbs of feed per pound of gain.
I have read that efficiency is 35% heritable.
If we are to survive as cattle producers/ feeders we have to become more efficient.
Leo McDonald at the bull test in Montana is said to be installing a grow safe system
I sure would appreciate any thoughts from this forum
