Man Reportedly Fathers 6 Children With 6 Different Women
Monday, March 12, 2007

During court proceedings charging Rickey Lackey with attempted theft, Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Melba Marsh asked Lackey how many children he had.

Lackey's response: “None, but I have six on the way."

That prompted Marsh to ask Lackey, 25, if he was marrying a woman with six kids.

“No, I be concubining," Lackey responded, meaning he lives with women he is not married to.

Lackey's lawyer stopped the line of questioning and the judge dropped it after deciding it was not relevant to the case.

Lackey was later convicted for attempted theft.

The women are all expecting between August and October.

Isn't it amazing how many women must wake up every morning and say to themselves "now just how can I censored up my life and that of every child that I may ever have? "

That is the same mentality that got the servicemen in trouble in the Philippines recently with "rape" charges. Homey don't pay for his play.

This playa should have his name recorded on every birth certificate and have to hold three fulltime jobs just to pay his child support.

If the United States had strictor child support laws when parents don't pay perhaps situations like this wouldn't occur. I wouldn't think many man could afford to pay child support on six children for the next nineteen years. :?

If the United States had stricter child support laws when parents don't pay perhaps situations like this wouldn't occur.

Child support works something like this
In order to determine a non-custodial parent's ability to pay child support, child support staff will attempt to determine the non-custodial parent's income and assets.

The court uses a standard guideline to figure out what the non-custodial parent will pay. The child support amount is based, in part, on the non-custodial parent's adjusted gross income and in part on how many children are involved.

The court then multiplies the adjusted gross income by the standard guideline percentage for the number of children. These percentages are

* 17% for one child,
* 25% for two children,
* 29% for three children,
* 31% for four children, and
* at least 35% for five or more children.
In each case, a share of child care, medical, and educational expenses is added to the appropriate percentage amount. Together, the combined amount is the basic child support amount.

Limit on withholding amount - The employer may not withhold more than 50% of the employees net income. "Net income" is strictly defined as the total owed to the employee minus mandatory federal, state, Social Security, and Medicare taxes, disability insurance, and payments to public employee retirement systems - no other deductions are allowed before computing the 50% limit.

so if Rickey Lackey don't have a job, nor any money, 50% of nothing is nothing.
