"My first priority will be to reinstate the assault weapons ban as soon as I take office. Within 90 days, we will go back after kitchen table dealers, and work to end the gun show and internet sales loopholes. In the first year, I intend to work with Congress on a national no carry law, 1 gun a month purchase limits, and bans on all semi-automatic guns."

I dare you!!!!!!!!!!!

Who are you to ask me how many guns I need? Better yet, who is the government to ask me? It's not a matter of NEEDING, it's a matter of Liberty.

I should be able to buy a Bazooka to hunt with if I choose.

The Liberal plan is to chip away at the 2nd amendment until NO ONE can own a gun.

Plus.......... an AK-47 is no more of an advantage than another gun is for hunting. The liberals just want you to think it is dangerous and should be taboo.

Don't you see it?

I'm with kola. Honestly, how dare anyone limit me to ONE gun a month. Why that's only TWELVE guns a year, not to mention the ones I can get my kids, wife, cousins, and employees to buy for me. I might only have an arsenal of 20 - 30 guns each year, growing to oh, let me see, hundreds of guns lol.

Yea....but you are women and do not see rationally. You'all see from a different perspective which is "Security" minded and not "Liberty" minded.

Our government has no right to interfere in my personal choice to buy 1,000 guns per month if I so choose.

Do you know the implications of banning ALL Semi-Automatic weapons?

That means that just about every household who has guns will be found illegal.............. But only the law abiding ones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Women have no business in the issue of gun ownership. Period.

Remember, guns are inanimate objects that necessitate human involvement to be operational. The problems are not the guns........it goes deeper.

So now the government is going to ban things that we don't need? Should they limit shoes sales to women to 1 a month? Maybe fat people should limited to 1 donut a month? After all, how many pairs of shoes can you wear at one time, and heck, a fat person doesn't even need that one donut.

Maybe we ought to set up a "Ministry of Needs", where every flipping purchase we make will have to pass a government needs test and the government can OK or deny that purchase based upon what it is decided that we need and don't need?

See this is where you get your bloomers in a wad and start wringing your hands. No one is saying out and out total'ban'...they are saying ' control' and that's excellent.

You have to be licensed to drive a car, get married and even work in a hair salon......so owing a gun should be also.

I have a weapon, be it rifle or pistol, in every room of my house....on every floor of this house......one in every vehicle....and if you f**k with me and I feel in danger I will shoot your azz!!! I have no fear of the weapons as I grew up with them.

Saying all that, no one needs a gun a month...it's just stupid.

EVERYONE should get training before buying a gun and each and every gun owner should be licensed.

You have to have a license to drive a car, get married and work in a hair salon.....so should gun ownership.

I'm not saying a total ban, either. I'm saying that if the government is going to "control" guns, why shouldn't the control everything?

No body needs more than 3 pairs of shoes. It's just stupid.

What good is a gun license going to do? What are you trying to prevent/ fix?

AK47 is an excellent gun for hunting! Hunting bad guys that is! And probably be handy to have around when the Obama depression hits and people are out in fields trying to wrangle your cattle. They are very reliable and dependable guns!

As for one gun a month, needs have nothing to do with it! America is built on the ability to get what we WANT if we work for it. So if I want to buy my Son and Daughter both a gun for a special occasion, I should have the ability to fulfill that WANT!

If I want to go to an auction or gun shop and buy 5 different guns one month because I WANT them I should be able to do so!

One Christmas my Grandpa bought 5 new Frenchie Shot Guns for his sons and himself all matching.

According to the Bureau of Needs, your Grandpa didn't NEED to do that, so he should not be allowed to do so.

Point is WHY should you have to ask your family to buy a gun for you? This is AMERICA where gun rights are set out in the Constitution! If my Grandpa wants to buy 5 guns as Christmas gifts one year he should have that right, this is AMERICA!

If I want to go to a sale and buy 3 Belgium made A5's because I like them and they are good deal and a sound investment then this is AMERICA, I should be able to!

WHY?

What about those lawless people that drive the back roads and the fields with no license - or worse drive cars under age on the farm?

What about those who shack up for more than the minimum time and are considered by law to be married?

What about the lady down the road that does hair in her basement?

Lots of law breakers out there that harm no one and make a few bucks on the side for themselves.

Poor guy that is shacked up needs to move out for a couple weeks every now and then to stay free though.

Kolo and BC bring up a good point.

You can have all the laws you want, and try to control everybody's actions. It still comes down to having respect for those laws. How well have the drug laws worked so far? Speeding? Theft? Firearms?

It's about control!

In SC if you check into a hotel as husband and wife ...your married
Texas has no time limit as long as most people think of the two of yall as husband and wife and have atleast one account together.... your married.

What does the parent of 2, 3 or even more children do when buying a gun for them? Why do I have to wait????
Yall dont have to wait to buy beer, which kills more innocent people than guns.

Yikes - what if I am already married? :D

Whew - I cannot find my marriage license - but we actually have several accounts together - so I guess it is official - we ARE married! :D

Excellent point - I bought my wife matching 12 and 20 guage side by side shotguns a couple years ago for Christmas. She is a better shot than me.

Yall dont have to wait to buy beer, which kills more innocent people than guns.

And I could get my neighbours kid brother to buy it for me when I was 14.

Not always easy to make new laws and then make them work.

Aren't Washington DC and New York - supposed to be firearm free zones (short guns).

I do not think it is working.

often uneducated people make stupid comments in areas they have little to no knowledge.. and show an ignorance to facts and situations by spouting off with emotion...

your comment qualifies as one of those comments.. maybe you should read a book and at least try to understand the subject your discussing... before you advocate commiting a felony and getting your children, wife, cousins, friends and employees wrapped up in a felony with you..

Under United States federal gun laws, a straw purchase is any purchase from a dealer holding a Federal Firearms License where the buyer conducting the transaction is not the "actual purchaser", but is acting as a proxy for another person. Although the term is commonly used to refer to purchasing on behalf of a person who is legally ineligible to purchase or possess a firearm, the law does not make that distinction.

In the United States, straw purchases are a felony violation of the Gun Control Act of 1968 for both the straw purchaser (who can also be charged with lying on Federal Form 4473) and the ultimate possessor.
wife? ,.... (gee, I didn't know you were gay)
