JESUS
1. Jesus owned nothing. 2. Jesus argued for the dissolution of the family and the establishment of communes. 3. Jesus loved all people regardless of ethnicity or class. 4. Jesus revolted against the imperial government, established religion and finance capitalism (usury). 5. Jesus taught that we should act as one body, one blood. 6. Jesus taught that his kingdom (ie nation state) is in the heart and not below the feet. 7. Jesus taught that we should fight for Justice and 'turn the other cheek' to petty morality. 8. Jesus was a laborer and a teacher. 9. Jesus practiced healing and forgiveness. 10. Jesus taught that you can't be an imperialist and a disciple at the same time.

Owned nothing???? Everything in this world is his. It all belongs to Him, and we are the ones who don't own one dang thing. I get sick and tired of "who would Jesus vote for". As far as I'm concerned, that is sacrilegious. The world was created by him and it says explicitly in His Word in Matthew that he sets up rulers, good and bad, for a purpose. And he certainly did not argue to break down the family structure. He referred to it many times to help us understand the relationship between Him and us and He and His Father.

1. Jesus owned nothing. Jesus owned everything 2. Jesus argued for the dissolution of the family and the establishment of communes. Jesus said a man should leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife. Be fruitful and multiply. 3. Jesus loved all people regardless of ethnicity or class. Jesus hated the hypocrites4. Jesus revolted against the imperial government, established religion and finance capitalism (usury). Jesus never revolted against anybody. He said "render under Caesar that which is Caesars"....Until his death he was a devout practicing Jew. He did not establish a religion. He laid the foundation for the establishment of a CHURCH. He condemned usury which is not finance capitalism but Excessive Rates of Interest. 5. Jesus taught that we should act as one body, one blood. No he said that all parts of the Body of Chrsit (the church) should be one. 6. Jesus taught that his kingdom (ie nation state) is in the heart and not below the feet. Jesus never said this. He taught that his kingdom was not of this world. 7. Jesus taught that we should fight for Justice and 'turn the other cheek' to petty morality. Jesus never mentioned "petty morality" as there is no such thing. Jesus told his disciples to sell all they had and "buy weapons" (go find it) 8. Jesus was a laborer and a teacher. Nowhere does scripture call Jesus a laborer..only the carpenter's son and yes he was definitely a teacher but he did not teach "liberation theology"9. Jesus practiced healing and forgiveness. He preached "judge not lest you be judged and unconditional forgiveness". 10. Jesus taught that you can't be an imperialist and a disciple at the same time.Where?????

If you want to give Jesus credit for something please take it from scripture and do not paraphrase it to accomodate your ideas.

So when you paraphrase it is "according to scripture " and when others paraphrase it is an accommodation of their ideas....... Ohh to be so pious!

And nobody ever paraphases the bible besides thousands of clergy every sunday! Thats laughable Tex.

I said do not paraphrase Jesus' words. You have the scripture before you. Post Jesus' words as they actually appear in scripture. Then if you wish to expound on it do so "in your own words". But don't give me your words and tell me they are scripture.

Please feel free to point out where I paraphrased anything. The only paraphrasers I see here is you and the author of the quote.
