Guilty until Proven Innocent

For all those whiners that have cried about some "poor American citizen terrorist" getting his butt blown up by a missile from a drone while he was plotting trying to kill more Americans --- yesterday I heard an interesting concept on the Huckabee report...

He reported that with all the British citizens going to join and fight for ISIS- that some British Parliamentarians were suggesting that once they leave Britain and join up with the terrorists they should be considered guilty until proven innocent- so that if we or the Brits do some nasty things to them (like blowing them up) the law would look better upon it...

And even old Huckleberry seemed to insinuate this might be a direction for the US to look at with the US citizens joining these criminal terrorist groups...

And you know this how, OT? Some government official said it was so and that's that? Would that be the same class of government official you blasted for saying that it was a slam dunk that Hussein possessed WMD's?

What happened to that precious Constitution that you swore an oath to defend with your life OT? You wiping your fat ass with it too?

I've come to accept that you're a hypocrite and have written many things here simply for shock value, but the fact that you cannot seem to wrap your brain around the concept of why an American citizen should be held to a higher standard of proof before being executed without trial is beyond me.

This particular subject speaks volumes of how simple-minded you really are and also goes a long way to explain why the country is going to hell in a handbasket with voters of your ilk cheering it on.

Stupid much? Why would Dingleberry affect how I approach this subject? As for the Brit, there was a revolution against their rule some number of year back. Perhaps you've forgotten, Benedict.

I disagree with Huckabee and the Brits on this one.. I guess we can't all be in lockstep..

I think if a "traitor" is on the battlefield.. he is fair game... but I would NEVER support a law that advocated or allowed it.,. based on the person being a citizen by law,

the reason he can be killed isn't if he is a Brit of was an American.. it is because he has chosen to be the enemy.

it is the difference between war and assassination.

our laws have never Constitutionally allowed assassination..

for those who do not understand the difference..

in war the guy on the other side is "the enemy"

in an assassination the guy on the other side is specifically named.

so if you know his name, and know he is an american citizen by law, it is an assignation.

just skip the fanfare,.. drop a bomb on the ISIS position, of aL-qiada car, and if a traitor was there so be it..

to be honest, I could care less if some scumbag traitor accidentally stands under a falling bomb...

but as a vet, I understand the difference between war and an assignation..

and I agree it should NOT be left to any one person,.. and if a "person" is targeted, it should be to a much higher standard,

I tried to find the story behind "Roosevelt ordering the assassination of Yamamoto", and how the generals were actually concerned about how this might be perceived as an assassination .. so they ordered the mission, but not to assassinate Yamamoto, but to intercept the bombers he was riding in..

our president has gotten so wrapped up in taking credit, or avoiding blame that he has forgotten the finer points of law..
