Franklin D. Roosevelt has retained his top ranking among the greatest presidents of the modern era, a new nationwide Zogby International telephone poll shows. Roosevelt has dominated Zogby's Presidential Greatness survey since 1997 - only losing out to John F. Kennedy in 2006 and 2002. -------

Ronald Reagan holds on to his third-ranked spot this year, with 62% of those surveyed giving him a combined great or near great ranking - a slight increase from the 59% positive rankings in last year's survey. Reagan has continued to rank highly in Zogby's Presidential Greatness surveys since his death in 2004.

Among living presidents, Bill Clinton continues to be ranked highest at 42% - while the other three trail behind on the greatness scale at 27% for George H.W. Bush, 25% for Jimmy Carter, and just 22% for George W. Bush.

Yesterday GW took the airways and held a press conference to tell the world that the US is not going into a recession...

Later that day CNN does a survey:
The economy is:
In a slowdown 32% 36086
In a recession 61% 69044
Doing fine 7% 8171
Total Votes: 113301

And since yesterday on the Stock Market the DOW "DROPPED" 500 points and lost almost 4% valuation  :???:  :(

SHEEEESH--I hope GW doesn't decide to make these Pep talks a daily happening- the country can't afford it

His lips keep flapping- but no one listens to or believes a word he says anymore....

Someone asked him about the report on the possiblity of $4/gal gasoline later this spring. He didn't know what they were talking about. His glorious staff had neglected telling him about it.

Like Daddy-like Son...GHW, when campaigning in a supermarket, was shocked by the existence of the electronic checkout counters....

GW has absolutely no idea of whats happening in the real world-never has...He's lived a life of a rich privileged kid that someone always bailed out...

Kind of reminds me of when finally informed that the peasants had no bread- a French Queen is supposed to have said "Well, let them eat cake."
And the peasants rose up against her and King Louis- and she lost her head- literally

And the same will happen with the neocon controlled Repubs and McCain if they keep echoing his rhetoric .....

Well, OT, guess what? One of the things required in the Bush family before they run for any office, is that they hold a real job. GW Bush, in the summer of his high school years, worked for Sears, worked on a ranch and worked with underpriveleged boys before he ran for office.

No one can be as bad as you make him out to be.
