To acknowledge the fundamental injustice, cruelty, brutality, and inhumanity of slavery in the United States and the 13 American colonies between 1619 and 1865 and to establish a commission to examine the institution of slavery, subsequently de jure and de facto racial and economic discrimination against African-Americans, and the impact of these forces on living African-Americans, to make recommendations to the Congress on appropriate remedies, and for other purposes

But the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society

$8 MILLION to study how much compensation should be awarded slave descendants, when each and everyone of them today should be on their knees thanking the almighty that their ancestors were brought here? :???:

We should never have offered reperations, instead we should offer a free ticket to wherever they consider home. Don't mistake that as saying we send them all back, I'm saying we just offer to return them. If they didn't come to America, they'd probably have been killed by the Europeans settling those areas.

We've already spent 40 years and hundreds of billions of dollars on reparations. It's even got a nicer-sounding, big-liberal, touchy-feely name: Affirmative Action.
