Had some company today

Pups and Bucks was making his way home from his working holiday at Gcreeks places and stopped in for the last piece of pie.

We had a great visit and gave them a quick tour of the ranch. :D

They are back on the road but I'm not sure which way they are taking home, I think the scenic route. :D :D

We escaped from the ranch Friday to go to a farm auction at Little Fort yesterday. Got some things we can use but not the stock trailer we went for.

We sure enjoyed the visit we had when they were here. First time we had seen each other in 25 years.

BMR.....Thanks for the visit, tour, and lunch.........I haven't talked to Gcreekch about the bulls yet but I think this is how it's going to come out.....he will trade wolves for bulls even up but you gotta deliver the bulls and collect the wolves

Just wondering........did your Dad trail the yearlings back and forth to market in the 40's?

They trailed cattle to the train in Big Beaver but he never trailed the across the border to Plentywood or Whitetail MT.
We have a picture of the first cattle shipped off the ranch to Winnipeg on a Semi in the 1950's. Looked to he a flat deck trailer with stake sides and open top. That would have been quite the trip. NO air ride seat.

You would have been a long way back to Gcreek's with those bulls seeing as he never got that trailer bought to hold up his end of the deal.
