GW wanted to bring/force democracy upon the Middle East. Oh, they had themselves a theory for this domino effect that would take place. Sooooooooooooooo

Palestine held election, free and democratic under our watchful ever.

They elected Hamas!! And the rest is(present day) history

Once again, where ever Pres Bush seemed to stick in his nose, trouble followed. He's like that neighbor, when you see them coming you run and hide as trouble and aggravation will come with them.

WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Palestinian general elections of 1996 were the first elections for the President of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) and for members of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC), the legislative arm of the PNA. They took place in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem on 20 January 1996.

yep ol Bush looked through rose colored glasses..

most of the conservatives knew that hamas running a bunch of disgruntled muslims wouldn't work out..

I am sure even ol GW regretted it a bit.

but his "crimes" and "mistakes" pale in comparison to the arab spring..

what is Obama's count so far..

Tunisia, Algeria, Yemen, Sudan, Mali, Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Ukraine,

yep how is that muslim brotherhood thing working out,.. arming the Syrian rebels, toppling Libya,.. seems like they are more of a threat to the Us then hamas

and that is not counting all the radical muslims emboldened by Obama's weakness..

it is one thing to look back at a leader's mistakes.. but liberals never seem to learn anything from them..

RAMALLAH, West Bank, Jan. 26 -- The radical Islamic movement Hamas won a large majority in the new Palestinian parliament, according to official election results announced Thursday, trouncing the governing Fatah party in a contest that could dramatically reshape the Palestinians' relations with Israel and the rest of the world.

Then who/what do you account for triggering the " Arab Spring" then?? (See article/link below)

Looming large over George W. Bush’s rationalisation for going to war in Iraq and for the ensuing effort to implant democracy in the very heart of the Middle East is the idea that promoting democracy has the salutary effect of advancing peace around the world. “Democracy and the hope and progress it brings are the alternative to instability and to hatred and terror. Lasting peace is gained as justice and democracy advance,” the American president asserted in a speech at London’s Whitehall Palace in November 2003 following the fall of Baghdad.

Behind Bush’s lofty words rests the provocative theory of the “democratic peace”, which contends, in a nutshell, that democracy is the best guarantor of world peace because democracies do not fight one another. Bush himself has trumpeted the apparent aversion that democracies have towards war in selling his Iraq policy to the American people. An August 2005 rally honouring Idaho’s National Guard provided one of many occasions for Bush’s embrace of the main claim of the theory of the democratic peace. In remarks intended to highlight the strategic purpose of promoting democracy abroad, even by force if necessary, Bush noted: “History has proven that free nations are peaceful nations, that democracies do not fight their neighbours.”

In giving robust lip service to the notion that democracies are inherently pacifist,.............................................

WTF? Are you blaming Bush for not rigging the Palestinian election?

How is he to blame? They were already having Democratic elections before Bush went into office.  Are you that dense?

Hamas has a strong military wing that is believed to be better armed and trained than the national Palestinian security forces. In 2007, it enabled Hamas to defeat and evict Fatah-affiliated Palestinian security forces and claim control over Gaza.

The same Hamas source said, “The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades are the main source upon which Hamas relies to impose its control. [Hamas] is the actual security ruler in the Gaza Strip and no political agreement will be able to eliminate this power, which is the main reason behind the popularity of Hamas today.”

“Hamas was forced to hand over the government in the Gaza Strip after the tight siege imposed on it. Thus, it was no longer responsible before the Palestinian citizen to provide a living, open the crossings or introduce basic materials, but we are still in control without being in power,” he said.

Before Bush, the world lived in peace and harmony. Today, despite the Messiah casting his magical spell over the world's masses, the fact that they world is not living in peace and harmony, is, well, Bush's fault.

To those of you how don't understand all this, lemme splain.

Besides the well-known tendencies of liberals to be delusional, there's also the fact that most of today's left-wingers are actually deeply embarrassed that they were actually stupid enough to fall for Hope & Change and vote for the worst president in the history of mankind. They'd never admit it though, hence the contortions that Kola has demonstrated trying to pin a problem that preceeded the formation of the state of Israel in 1948 on Bush. Was he even born by 1948?

Anyway, this sort of lib-guilt is what results in specimen the likes of Kola, OT, and floundie.

I never said the world was all full of butterflies and rainbows BEFORE Bush. But, you've met the type of person who will always bring some sort of trouble with them. Bush is that type of person.

History will prove him to be the worst President in many many decades on many many levels.

Yeah, bush caused the Arab spring by sending in the covert political ops after he was out of office, just like Ukraine.

Libya is his fault and Syria.

And the 7 trillion more debt, and all the out of work!

Damn bush for never leaving office, I wish he would give the black, mooselum, homo a chance to straighten it all out.

You want to take bushes screw ups like tarp, double down on them and then blame him for the lack of response you want.

If Iraq was wrong, then why did Zero start the Arab spring and arm rebels around the world?

Progressives... It takes work to be that dumb.

Can't- mainly because Bush was also the cause of/to blame for Obama becoming President... Without the incompetence of GW - Obama could never have been elected (twice)...

No, as usual, you're dead wrong. History will be kind to George W. Bush and actually quite harsh on the Messiah. And even though the process began decades ago, history will mark the Messiah's administration as the one that presided over the beginning of the end of America as we know it.

And Bush didn't 'bring' any trouble with him. Perhaps you've already forgotten about the World Trade Center bombing in 1993, the American embassy bombings in Africa, the Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, and the bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen? Have you forgotten Kola or are you even aware since those acts of terror against the United States occurred during the reign of Hard-on the Great?

Bush certainly takes a hit for the post war occupation of Iraq....and well he should. But he also did something no other western leader has ever done in Iraq or Afghanistan. He gave those people the right to vote for the first time in the history of those nations and I for one will be forever proud that it was American lives and treasure that brought some semblence of freedom to that part of the world.

Bush should have known better than try to domesticate wild animals.

They declared war on us. Hit us on our soil. That kind will always be backing out on any agreement or treaty with infadels.
