Merry Christmas back, memanpa. I noticed when Christmas shopping, no one says Merry Christmas any more. They don't say anything at all

I was the opposite here this season. Every single human I meet up with said Merry Christmas! It was fantastic. We on the west coast have been battling the stupid "happy holidays" thing for years. It was like all of vancouver rebelled this season. Merry Christmas was everywhere!!!! Was wonderful to see :) I guess enough was finally enough :)

Same here Judith--Everyone was in a great, friendly, and talkative mood--Couldn't go anywhere without hearing Merry Christmas :D ...I kind of thought it might have to do with the nice weather and the fact that since it wasn't 30 Below everyone took more time to stand on the street or parking lot and talk...

But then again- I don't shop the cities or big towns (Billings type) or the Walmart, Kmart, etal corporate stores....Stick pretty much with small town and the old local business's...I would rather pay a few dollars more and support them than help some corporate industry make another $12 billion annually in profits

I've found that even many of the things the locals don't have on display, they can quickly get you if you just ask- and will go out of their way to get it for you...Even some of the things I asked the girls to look for in Billings (thinking I could never find them here), they couldn't find there because of the zoo of people-- but were able to find them in a little store called Bryans in Wolf Point (45 miles down the road).....

I would shop in Roundup if they had any stores to shop from. Their "department" store has been closed for a long time. They just don't have anything any more. Their office supply has been closed for several years. Wish they would get the mine up and going....sure would bring good things to Roundup, MT.

Thus we had to shop in Billings, I absolutely hated it, one big ZOO and horrid traffic. Went shopping on a Sunday, it was worse than a Saturday. Don't go to Walmart anymore.

OH, BTW, speaking of the MINE, 'ol Guvner BS has been taking credit for it. Alan Olson has been the one getting it going, started during Martz' term.

Yep- It sure is sad when them small town stores all die out....Williston just opened a new Walmart Super Store and Havre's will open in January (if they can find employees)...Talk is that they may kill out a few more Hi-Line stores- but it will be a cold day before I enter either one of the stores...I may have to drive a little ways- but between Malta, Glasgow, and Wolf Point I still can usually find what I want...

Daughters said Billings was terrible... Made me laugh when they couldn't find what I had them looking for (a certain watch and certain blouse for Grandma), but then found it all in Wolf Point.....
