I have always wondered abo,ut the Canadian border.
A guy I know pretty well went up there in a semi to pick up a pre-cut house for himself one time 4 or 5 years ago, went in loaded the material, started back south late in the evening and found the check point locked up and the highway gated.
He did what any the rest of us might do, backtracked till he found the pasture gate, pulled in and headed south till he found another gate.

Since Canada is apparently not taking any of their borders security very seriously is why the US is strengthening the US presence on the border- and the requirements for entering the US....And the only ones I've heard whining about it so far has been Canadians.....But since we can't count on Canada anymore we will get her done on our own......

Oh.... so you were "shirt-tailing" on the backs of Canadian taxpayers...expecting them to provide your security.
None of the 9/11 terrorists entered the USA through Canada. Most were in the USA LEGALLY.
The recent arrest of the terror suspects in Ontario proves that these cells are being watched and apprehended BEFORE they can strike.
Get 'er done on your own is right. Stop riding the shirt-tails of the Canadian taxpayer. Pay for your own border security.

    :gag: :gag:

Whatever- but it appears you have again avoided the facts:
Kenny also notes, as have Conservative politicians, that Canada’s expenditures on defense as a percentage of its Gross National product (GNP) are abysmal. In 2005, the U.S spent $1,712 per capita, and Britain spent $903. Australia $648, and even The Netherlands spent $658. Yet Canada spent only $343 for each man, woman and child to defend the nation.

If you're going to suggest riding shirttails I would question who is riding whose taxpayers shirttails :???:

:D :D :D
Oldtimer, I know how fond you are of criticising anything Canadian. It helps to justify your protectionist R-calf stance. I get it.
If and when you and your country can figure out how to stop the flow of illegal aliens into your country(12 miilion last estimate I heard, which BTW is more tham 1/3 the population of Canada), then and only then will I take any of your anti-Canuck comments seriously. Until then....look in your own back yard before mewing about mine.

Tim- Then you don't mind the additional "security inspection" charges they are adding on the Canadian shipments coming south to take care of it until Canada is able/willing to...I agree our border security is not the greatest yet-and far from where I'd like to see it- but its better than it was....The overreaction to the next attack will probably handle that... And I don't care what country your in, all the intelligence in the world will not stop a second 9/11- Its not IF its WHEN...All security experts believe we are lucky to have got by for 5 years- we're on borrowed time, now.....

Nope, don't mind at all. When the USA buyers cease to be the top bidders for our products, after expenses, we will obviously sell to someone else. It's called business.
I trust you will refrain from chirping off about Canadian border security in the future,at least until you are able to keep 12 million illegals out of your own country.
Just think DICK, even if only 1 in a million of those illegals is a Muslim terrorist, that means that there is at least a dozen of them in your country even as we speak. And they did not enter the USA through Canada.
Sleep tight. :D :D
