Hay Hiker

Faster horses

We are interested in what is called a Hay Hiker to bunch bales in
the field. Does anyone here know where a person can find one?
And if you have one, what has been your experience with them?

Thanks.

The Morris Hay hiker is made in Sask. There are a few other similar type machines. For just bunching bales the Haukaas machine might be cheaper.

I haven't used any but there are a few around.

Here is another one.

Out here where we still use small bales, the device you speak of is called a teenager. You just get 3 or 4 of them and offer them food in exchange for gathering bales and it seems to work great.

I have never used one but sure would like to have one. Kramer Mfg.,
from Ainsworth NE makes a really nice one I think. So does Vermeer.
I have had some people say that certain kinds will have trouble
backing under the piles in the field if you line them up out there instead
of bringing clear into the stackyard.
