We are making headway but certainly are still white. The south slope water will be passing through any day now.

was up at olds yesterday, looked to be at least a foot of cover there yet.

Back in the 70's I would leave Olds about the 20th of April and there would be 2 to 3 feet of snow in the campus and the water would be running down the ditch half way to Calgary and at Calgary the Crocuses would be blooming. :D

Hitchin Post is open.

Where is this Per ?
High River on 12th ave by the traffic circle. It has been an institution for burgers etc and real fruit milkshakes forever. Kind of High Rivers answer to Peters only better. It used to have a big lot with cottonwood trees to picnic under but all that made way for progress last fall. Now we have the above noted traffic circle which is rather fun for drifting around.

I am sold, next time I get down that way will check it out, I don't know why haven't heard of it before with Mr HD on the road all the time and eating out. Hitchin post is listed as having the best burgers in western Canada . That is some reputation to have in beef country . :D

BMR, no I haven't but will put that on my list. I have a bucket list of diners, drive ins, and dives that I want to try ,after that I will have to join a fat farm.

Hillsdown have you tried out Five Guys Burgers and Fries in Airdrie? :D
I been to Five Guys in the Hat. Pretty good. Where is the one in Airdrie?

Going north on the QE2 it's off to the left on the first part of Airdrie you come to. You have to exit to the right and cross over and first road going south. You can see Five Guys on the building from the hiway.

Got that?
