Thanks for sharing the pics. Automatic Bale wagons are rare in this part of the country. New Holland used to make a self propelled small square baler. Do you have any in that part of the country?

I'll bet some of that hay goes out of that shed to Kentucky for race horses. I know Celeste sold horse hay all over from Ca to Ky. The quality ought to be there. When it is ready to go it looks like you are too; you get it inside right away.

Great shots, thanks. What kind of grass are you putting up. Looks like brome ? Also, what model of tractors are pulling the balers ? I would guess Farmall 766 's. If so they must have some hours on them.

Sorry I'm so slow getting questions answered. We had some company over today. And thanks for all the nice response.

What a beautiful backdrop ...you must get some awesome sunsets and sunrises. Would love to see some of them :D

I'll have to see if I can come up with some. Sangre De Cristo means blood of Christ in Spanish. They were named that for the red color they get during sunrise.

I'm not sure if they still make self propelled balers or not. I know some people that still run them here in the valley. Trouble I have with them is I think it makes you to tied into the baler. The ones I know of are 425's and I'd hate to own 425's.

Ned; Looks like you run a good operation; is that timothy hay? Looks like top quality feed! We used to run SP NH balers (1282's) and SP bale wagons. Cost of operating, lower capacity& lack of help made the switch to round bales a necessity especially as we feed all of our production. I don't miss the knotters and the fuel bill on the bale wagon but a few squares would be nice to have around!

We raise a timothy, clover grass mix. We have a little brome but not much. Two of the baler tractors are hydro 100's and the other is a 186 hydro. It's nice having hydro tractors on balers. They make it easier the keep the balers fed more consistently making the bales evener.
