My sister (down in Haymakers country) just e-mailed me that they have gotten over 10 inchs of rain since Monday-- everything is flooding- and they are expecting more rain in the next few days..

Ol Haymaker might be floating down the Rio to Mexico.....

I got about 10.5 inches at my house yesterday and today....about 6-7 of it was just today......I live just south of Haymaker maybe 30 miles. Heard anywhere from 5-10 around here. Lots of rain needed it, but didn't need 4 months worth in two days, but it will fill all the dams up and that is good going into winter. I didn't get one drop of rain at my house in August...was dry.

Yep, at the end of the year the weather watcher can probably croak about an above average rainfall for the year...... Drought index insurance (if you have it) won't have to pay off now even if your pastures are burt up from lack of rain.
