Obama is out on the stump pumping a new 20 page release of his plan. Neil Cavuto had one and was showing some it. All the pages he showed had a small amount of text wrapped around a large picture of Obama. I'm guessing the tweny pages could have been condensed to three pages it they took out the glory pictures.

Then ABC web site has this.

Obama Glossy Touts Second-Term Agenda

DELRAY, Fla. – Exactly 14 days before voters hit the polls, President Obama released a glossy, magazine-style brochure outlining his plan for a second term.

The 20-page document signals a final play for undecided voters in key states, and an attempt to counter Republican attacks of late that Obama has failed to lay out a specific agenda.

The Obama campaign has printed 3.5 million copies, planning to send 1.5 million to field offices across the country and distribute the rest by direct mail, an official said.

Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and other surrogates will reference it on the stump this week.

We will “ask our massive grassroots network to do everything they can to share the plan with their family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and others to reach every undecided voter in the remaining days of this election and ensure they understand the choice,” an Obama campaign official said.

The document outlines broad strokes of Obama’s plans on manufacturing, energy, education, taxes and entitlements but does not detail new policy or proposals.

A new 60-second TV ad, released in tandem with the booklet, features Obama speaking directly to the camera about his plans.

Republicans said the booklet and ad were signs of desperation from Obama.

“It’s simply more repackaging of what we’ve already heard,” Republican National Committee spokeswoman Kirsten Kukowski said.

The Greenies should be really happy for the waste of a grove of trees to put out a useless gloss pamphet that DOES NOT DETAIL ANYTHING, it is a rehash of his old policies NOTHING NEW:roll:

Nah, that glossy paper isn't worth very much. Even the recycling centers around here don't want it. It's expensive to buy and print on but it won't
start fires very well and it's not absorbent enough for a bird cage. Now our
cat bowl will sit on one for awhile...

I think whatever Obama does now, most people will scoff at. Hannity just showed a NH poll where Romney has 50% and Obama was like 46%;
Ohio they are tied. Which really is amazing consdering the bad publicity
Obama has had over Libya.

Another great bumper sticker would be OBAMA SAYS "YOU DIDN'T BUILD THAT" That comment made alot of people mad and it needs to be drilled home everyday until the election.

Chrysler is foreign

to insinuate that chrysler is still part of the big three is a bit insulting.. but some still believe it is an American owned company...

heck toyota is probably more american then chrysler

the most American-made car for 2012 is the Toyota Avalon

For example, here are the top five most American-made cars for 2012, according to NHTSA numbers:

1) Toyota Avalon (85%)
2) Chevrolet Express / GMC Savana (82%)
3) Toyota Sienna (80%), Honda Accord (80%), Honda Crosstour (80%), Ford Expedition (80%),
4) Chrysler 200 Convertible (79%)
5) Jeep Liberty (76%)

So, given all of this, what do the numbers tell us about which auto manufacturer is "more American" than the others? Obviously it's General Motors, which has the most number of models, employees, and largest market share. Ford and Toyota are close competitors for second place with Ford having more employees and models being made here, but the two companies are nearly tied for market share and Toyota has more models with high domestic sourcing; though the second spot probably goes to Ford in the end. Chrysler and Honda are close as well, holding about the same market share, and both companies have an equal number of domestically-made models and nearly as many employees.

Further, with Fiat now owning Chrysler, Fiat models will be coming to America and, eventually, may be built here as well.

Still, with all of this, "Buy American" doesn't seem as poignant as it might have a few years ago. The lines are blurring between the Detroit 3 and everyone else.
