When i heard this blared across the news networks.. as they told their "edited" version.. I figured it would ding trump a bit..

but then I read the article...

Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt found something Donald Trump doesn’t win at on Thursday — knowing his terrorists.

“I’m looking for the next commander-in-chief, to know who Hassan Nasrallah is, and Zawahiri, and al-Julani, and al-Baghdadi. Do you know the players without a scorecard, yet, Donald Trump?” Hewitt asked the 2016 Republican candidate, referring to the respective leaders of Hezbollah, Al Qaeda, Jabhat al-Nusra and the Islamic State.

“No," Trump said.

but what followed... or as PAUL HARVEY'S used to say, "THE REST OF THE STORY"

"You know, I’ll tell you honestly, I think by the time we get to office, they’ll all be changed. They’ll be all gone,” he said. “I knew you were going to ask me things like this, and there’s no reason, because, No. 1, I’ll find, I will hopefully find Gen. Douglas MacArthur in the pack.”

“I will be so good at the military, your head will spin. But obviously, I’m not meeting these people. I’m not seeing these people,” Trump said.

"Now, as far as what you’re talking about now, I will know every detail, and I will have the right plan, not a plan like this where we’re probably going backwards based on everything that I’m hearing, but we’re probably going backwards, zero respect. We have, we are not a respected country, and certainly as it relates to ISIS and what’s going on, and Iran."

then he made a few mistakes... fact is as President every word he says will be after he is briefed with all the info..

Trump also mixed up the Quds Force, the elite foreign unit of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, with the Kurds — the Middle Eastern ethnic group concentrated in nothern Iraq and parts of Iran, Syria and Turkey.

“Are you familiar with Gen. Soleimani?” Hewitt asked.

“Yes, but go ahead, give me a little, go ahead, tell me.” Trump said. “The Kurds, by the way, have been horribly mistreated by …”

“No, not the Kurds, the Quds Forces, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Quds Forces,” Hewitt said.

"Soleimani is to terrorism sort of what Trump is to real estate," Hewitt explained later.

"OK," Trump said.

"Many people would say he’s the most dangerous man in the world, and he runs the Quds Forces, which is their Navy SEALs," Hewitt elaborated.

"Is he the gentleman that was going back and forth with Russia and meeting with Putin?" Trump asked. "I read something, and that seems to be also where he’s at."

Hewitt responded: "That’s the guy."

all I can say is compared to Obama and Hillery,.. Trump couldn't be any worse..

not sure what the latest count was,.. but when obama took over,.. he was handed one war that was all but wrapped up.. and another that was dwindling down..

now there are so many open conflicts Obama can't even sort out who to support.. so he backs Iran and dumps on the Kurds and Israel..

I've never heard of Hugh Hewitt, so obviously, I know nothing about him. He might be the smartest guy in the world who has the whole Encyclopedia Britannica memorized.

But generally speaking, it pisses me off to hear some little unimportant commentator ask questions that he/she has obviously had hours to research but thinks that it's cute to use the highly reseached question to put a real doer on the spot over.

Trump is not offering omniscience, he's offering common sense action.

Mr. Hewitt, whoever he is, has proven that he's just another hack who's out to embarass a good man.

Giving some breaks, could it be that: a. Trump may not hear the best? Or, b. that Hewitt may not have perfect diction?

Add the fact that that whole area of the world is such a complicated and changing MESS that how anyone can accurately claim to understand all the nuances and 'players' is beyond most mere mortals, imo. I will say Trump could probably afford, if he could find honest people to learn the answers! And, for our survival as a nation, someone sure needs to make that effort.

And, I believe it will take a combination of government and businessmen and academics, and maybe especially those very knowledgeable of religions to figure it all out.

Meanwhile, I believe prayer is the surest way to get this mess resolved. And, I do NOT believe an 'end times' type of Armageddon is the answer......for any others than the perpetrators in the Islamic Terrorist groups.

I have many problems with Trump,.. to many to list,.. I do like how he is certainly shaking the establishment tree up a bit..

but what I am finding particularly annoying is his way of blaming everyone else for his "missteps"... I am sure if one of his employees gave the same lame excuses he has, he would fire them..
