It was just said if the Dems House amendments affect at all the Social Security bill they will be illegal for reconcilleation in the Senate. They said the Repub. Senators are asking for a ruling before the House Vote is taken but Reid will not get a reading as he knows and doesn't want the House Dems to know their amendment may not be legal until after they pass the Senate Bill with all the dirty deals. Senators are also saying Obama's Executive Order on Abortion for Stupak vote is not worth the paper he will sign as the court will rule it illegal once the Senate bill is passed, which now everyone knows the Bill will fund abortions if he is willing to sign an executive order to stop it.

Question is is Stupak dumb enough to believe Obama which he seems to be as he says he is supporting the bill now. . And the other is what will the Pro Choice Congressmen think of Obama's deal with Stupak, will they support the bill if they think it will not pay for abortions? :?

The president issued an executive order pledging that no federal funds would be used for elective abortion.

by using the word "elective".. it leaves it open for payment for medically necessarily abortions.. (such as ones which will place undue stress on the female).... big difference between no abortions funded and no "elective" abortions funded..

To pay for the changes, the legislation includes more than $400 billion in higher taxes over a decade, roughly half of it from a new Medicare payroll tax

so to add it up... they will cut a half a trillion from Medicare... and add nearly half a trillion in new "medicare" taxes... ok.. 500 billion and 400 billion add up to $900 billion.. of a bill that will cost $950 billion..

seems to me, they will be robbing grandma to pay for the bill... no wonder they need grandma sent to the death panels..
