Has a fine morning helping a great friend ship his calves today. Was a frosty 7 above when I left the house to head the 72 miles down to his place. But the day was sure pretty
We sorted a few heavy steers off to make the buyer happy. Nice corrals and alleys sure make sorting and shipping go smoothly.
The dry weather made for no needing muck boots like we usually need. I guess every cloud has a silver lining
I have had a heifer calf down with his calves all winter being fed. She will be hard to miss in the gather. She has put on weight and really blossomed into a pretty heifer. Be fun to see her future calves. I enjoyed helping and feel pretty dang privileged to have such wonderful friends who ask me to get in the way from time to time. It’s always a good day to spend time with folks ya respect and I sure cherish their friendship
i came home to a beautiful view from my side of the mountain. It’s sure a blessing to live on the desert.
