Forecast calling for 3-8" of snow. Great to have the moisture but most people in our area don't have the hay for an extended period of winter.

East wind howling here today...Supposed to turn to snow tonight thru Thursday night... Predicting 40 mph winds- drifting snow and 2-4 inches of snow again-- with more east along the ND border... :(

Talked to a friend that is calving now in SE Montana. That storm last weekend
lasted 2 days. 2 days of cold and very windy. He said "it was a calf-killer
without any snow." Now what is worse than that?

We got 6" of fluffy powder 3 days ago, and the wind kicked up early this morning at about 40mph to drift it nicely across everything. Roads were getting bad by noon and it hasn't let up. Supposed to get more snow tonight and tomorrow to add to the 3' we have on the level already. I keep telling myself to be grateful for no poisonous critters, no earthquakes, and no Kardashians. Spring will come, spring will come, spring will come......

We had a spring flurry blow through last night and this morning. Ended up with lots of wind and nearly a quarter inch of rain. Snow started early this morning but only enough to cover the ground. It's 40F now but chilly with the 35 mph breeze.

Started snowing here about 8AM- big wet flakes... Still snowing- have about an inch of new snow....Good news is the wind went down from 40+mph to around 10...Temp is 26...

Now the weather bureau is talking we could again have flooding this spring on the Milk, Poplar, Missouri rivers and tributaries because of the deep snow pack along the border and up in Canada...

I sure wish I had the ability to send some of this good wet snow to you folks that are droughted out...

More Hiways closed in Saskatchewan today then any day all winter.

Ours was warmed by the sun yesterday and the wind drifted a nice cover on it turning to ice. The #1, 4 lane highway across Sask is closed.

If I recall correctly, you all up there were in a drought for years and as a result, hired a Rainmaker. You've had good moisture since then, right? Sounds hokey
I know, but I sure remember that country got moisture after he did whatever
he does.

Yeah-- that goes back several years ago...We've been lucky up here- we've had some pretty good years most of the last 20 years.... And I think last year was about one of the best with both grass and bumper grain crops..

We can get by with little amounts of moisture- if it just comes at the right time... Our average is around 11 inches per year-- but I've seen good grass and good crops with 8 or 9-- IF it just came at the right times..

See that there are roughly 300 people on the way into hospital for minor to moderate injuries incurred at Leduc. Our County has a no travel advisory and has called in oilfield CATs and graders and are working right through the weekend.
Interesting March for sure. Last night the bus came partway down the road, unloaded kids, walked them around a ditched big rig into Grandpa's truck. The trucker helped push the truck out so it could turn around and they got home. Snow day for everyone today. :D

I'm going to be talking Canadian here pretty soon if this weather doesn't change...Checked cows at 1AM- not too bad out----decided to get a few hours straight sleep...Woke up at 6- and its a mini blizzard going on out there.... Snowing- blowing (now the SE winds are out of the NW). Luckily I didn't find any cows that had went out on the flat and had a calf... :)
Old Ma Nature sure is having a hissy fit this March... :(
