Here comes Winter

All you guys whining about the weather is kinda funny. They make Uhauls and cattle pots. Not everywhere has that type of winter!! :o :o
Good point LazyWP. A few less pots on the road now as I saw several in the footage of that Edmonton wreck. Some of those guys like to stick close to each other, lower their seat and set it back so they can't see and then pour it on. Not a good recipe when things go wrong.

Denny makes a good point about OT and being conservative. We had a lovely day here with no snow and mild temps. That storm slid east on its way south and spared us its wrath.

Historically the ground hog's predictions are about 50% accurate.

We had Dr Randy here yesterday to semen test. I think it was all a dream - no wind, around 2 above, even had some sun late a.m.! No gloves until 5:00 when some huge snowflakes fell. I still can't believe we were so lucky! :)

5" over night, don't ever remember having much snow late in March in my lifetime. Predicted for another 3-6" Saturday or Sunday. Hay going quick...

You need some northern cows that will live on snowballs and promises and bring home a calf every year. :D

Fourth coldest morning all winter at -28c. It is clear though. We have had about 6 more inches of snow in the last week.

No calves for a few more days.

Same temperature here, for about the 5th day in a row. 57 calves in the last 4 days, and so far I've only tagged one that had one frozen ear. Weatherman claims spring will start in a couple of days, so just gotta survive a little longer!

It's 55 and sunny here now. Not a bit of wind. Kids are outside loving it. Starting tonight through Sunday morning supposed to get 8-14 inches with winds 30-40 gusts after done snowing. Should be interesting.

They won't enjoy 100* and 65% humidity this summer. :D

Finished working corn ground last night around 9:00pm right ahead of the snow. Parked the tractor and holy cow did it start snowing. Got 10" over night and snowing hard right now. Calling for 14" but were getting more than that, along with 25-30 winds but good thing it's a wet heavy snow. Scoped feed bunks this morning sure gave me a work out. This will really help with pasture grass.

Told my wife this morning we went from 10 bushel wheat to 20 With this snow:lol:
