Nicky, We did well. We kept over half of our hiefiers. I didn't go watch them sell. Roscoe and son #2 went. Between two houses, laundry, chores and #1 son's science project, I needed to stay home. Not only that, I get attached to the calves and it makes me sad, inturn makes it a not so fun day.. There is nothing I can do at that point other than no sale them. Which I have done with some bred cows.. Son #1 and I sorted replacements while Roscoe hauled calves. We sorted two more out for us to keep and Roscoe sorted back one we had kept that he didn't like. I think these calves were some of the best dispositioned calves we have had. We resorted twice takeing the steers off and then resorted the hiefiers and they all came back in the alley way and was just a joy to work. I hope who ever bought them appreciates them. I have to give our hereford bulls the credit for the dispositions. Anyway now not so much feeding and chores till calving which I need to get back too.
