My son is on the road heading your way. He called wondering what the weather was doing around Hanna?
He's pulling a liner so he's not enjoying the wind.

Thanks

BMR, there was a heck of a snowstorm that is heading east and forecast to go through Hanna shortly. We were on the south edge and it only lasted a few hours so if your boy gets into it let him know it is a fast mover and will move on. He is right about the wind.

Frazers at Hussar are getting it right now, wind and snow - he's in his tractor trying to right his windbreaks....!

Thanks, I was just talking to him and no snow yet. They are getting close to the border. The storm has moved from Sylvan Lake so lets hope it's not a big cell and they might even miss it if they turn north at Hanna. :?

The wind sure hit here just awhile ago.

Gusts to 100Kms and snowing, -1, feels like -10. Just got in from bedding some hogs, could barely find my way around. Visibility 10 to 15 feet.
Glad we are not driving in this, I wish your son well if he is on the road.
Wind is suppose to blow all night and tomorrow.

Just talking to Mrs. Greg and it's bad up around Killam-she can't even cross the road to her daughters. Maybe lay up at Cactus Corner or is he loaded.

Our son just called and he got as far as Oyen He said they couldn't see anything for the wind and snow. He wasn't sure he wasn't going to hit someone just getting into the Coop parking lot. He is safely bedded down for the night.

How does it look this morning? I am sure glad he got holed up. There were a couple of huge pile ups on the QE 2.

A few years back we were headed to a rodeo down that way and saw a load of fats laying dead in the ditch from a rolled truck-not a very pretty sight. Camping for the night a good plan.

I talked to his sister and she had heard from him. They were traveling about 60-80km, 40-50 mph.
Guess it was pretty rough, he had got out of his truck and got hit in the head with a empty gallon oil jug blowing around. The other driver has a dog with him and it got hit with an empty oil pail.

Snowed in here, 8 ft drifts behind the wind breaks, sky is starting clear but wind still howling. Will post some photos eventually.

We got the wind and some snow, dam that wind though, power lines are down all over. We had just finished semen testing etc. when that wind started and the rain unleashed.

Went out to check the girls around 10 last night to make sure everything was OK . I was bundled up in my Halleys and still was chilled to the bone from the wind, something hit my face by the shop and it gave me a nice 1/8 inch gash.

Snow is all gone today, but they have yet to restore the power in areas and we are supposed to get pummeled with snow again next week. I will take the snow but that wind can go to &*(^&*(....

I hope everyone is safe and makes it home OK, prayers for all that are working and travelling in this horrendous weather.
