Hey Jigs!

Well here it is for all you that say, "I like Tom Osborne but I don't like Pelini, because he is not Nebraska", looks like Dr. Tom must kinda like him and want him around.

"I was asked for comments concerning the recent incident involving Coach Pelini by members of the press and felt that it was inappropriate to respond until University officials had reviewed the situation.

"After the comments were made public on Monday, I informed the Chancellor and Director of Athletics that I had become aware of the tape involving Coach Pelini last fall, about a year after the Ohio State game in 2011 when the comments were recorded. After I had listened to the tape I visited with Coach Pelini about it and expressed my concerns. Bo had not heard the tape at that time. I visited with all my coaches regularly about their conduct and language throughout my tenure as Athletic Director.

"While the comments were certainly not good, I realized that Bo had gone through an emotional week and an emotional game and was in a setting where he thought his comments were entirely private. I visited with Bo on a weekly basis and did not find that his attitude toward the fans or the press as expressed by those comments were at all in keeping with what I knew his true attitude to be. He understands that the most important asset the Athletic Department has is the amazing fan support that we enjoy.

"Bo's academic record with the football team has been the best in my recollection. The behavior of his players has been excellent for the most part, he has won three divisional championships and had one of the best win-loss records in college football for the past five years. I recognize that there have occasionally been controversies but I have seen a willingness to change, reflect and improve in Bo over the years. I am very hopeful that the players, coaches and fans will pull together as unity of purpose has been one of our major assets over the last 50 years."

What a good question would be is what did he do to pizz this somebody off enough to tape him going off and then release it two years later?

What else is Osborne going to say? "He sucks" I'm sure Osborne went through emotional games and weeks, but never heard anything like this from him. Also do you think he is one of the best assets that Nebraska has had in the last 50 years? If so your crazy I thought he was a big time defense guy. This is just Osborne supporting the guy, until he gets canned.

Don't jump all over me either like i'm anti Nebraska, I'm not, just my opinion.

Easy there, 3 M L & C.

It wasn't directed to you. I just get tired of a couple that always point out everything bad about any team but their team. I guess must not be much positive happening with their teams to brag about.

I would like to know what it's like to have nothing to do all day but dig up dirt on other teams or people. I hardly find the time to follow my team, many more important things in life, but I sure do enjoy college football.

I assume that was pointed in my direction...let me be clear. I am a 100% KSU fan, however being 10 miles south of Nebraska we get piss pounded with husker news and sports, so I have that crap rammed down my throat all the time so the info flows to me, I do not go looking for it....

the huskers are irrelevant in college football. grasp the fact, and move on in life.

Jigs, the rant by Pelini cussing the fans and giving the game to UCLA has brought them relevance once again. Everybody is talking about them!!!!!

Just goes to show that any publicity is better than none.

That "press" is close to 20+ years old!

Can't find anything newer than that?? Now who's living in the past?
