Hey Kola-- Competition with Ted ?

Kola, Just free advice so take it for what it's worth..... We used the 036 New Design bull and had scurs........ I know our black cows arn't purebred, but it takes a gene from both........

Good thought...just a curious question, were your scurs in bulls/steers or heifers, or both? Scurs are a sex linked trait, meaning that if they are seen in male calves they can come from either parent, as compared to if they are seen is heifers, both parents must possess the gene.

I could be wrong, but this is the way I understand the scurred/sex linked trait...
