Makes you wonder how far in the crowd they had to search-- or how much they had to pay him to stand behind the candidate and be in the photo session :???:  :p

I have to remember the last Repub convention-- where the majority attending was all old grey haired white guys in $1000+ suits and $250 ties and the women/wives were all grey haired old women in their multi thousand dollar gowns and jewelry (except for Palin who got the Republican/McCain supporters to buy her clothes  )-- and even someone on FOX said something about showing the minorities attending- and it took them 5 minutes to find any-- some Samoans......

The comedy was when they asked Bob Dole about this- and he said he didn't think the crowd was that old...

But he was 86 years old at the time  :p

For how long? As soon as she can get some lobbyiest money in her pockets?

I see where some of her 98 campaign people are saying the only reason she ran was to stuff her pockets-- and even used campaign donations to pay her home rent and household/family bills....

A rose, is a rose, is a rose
A politician, is a politician, is a politician..

A Rose by any other name would smell as sweet,
A politician by any other cultist name would have the same oder and stripe....

I think you are disillusioning yourself if you don't think they will sell out to the highest Corporate lobbyiest as fast as they come....

Historically- the majority of those already in office- now claiming to be Teabaggers - have done so for years... (ex- Denny Rehberg (R) MT)

Castle also claimed to be a Conservative.

But I don't understand your solution to the problem.

I think you underestimate the resolve of the Tea Party movement. If they back a candidate and that candidate goes to DC and screws up, the Tea Party will not support them next time around. The voters have had enough of the "establishment", whether Republican or Democrat.

As for Rehberg, you and I both know he is not doing anything different than he has for years. He's pandering to those that hold his future in their hands. He may call himself a Tea Partier, but that does not mean the Tea Party believes him or supports him.

I believe from the reports, you are disillusional to which side is getting the lobbiest moneis. Ask yourself who is waving his own rules to make sure they are thanked for their donations and support during the last election with government jobs . Add to that the Union moneis taken in and having to be thanked for and I think you can see why the US debt has tripled down in the last 20 months under the DEMS

You still haven't comment on the money Obama is spending on teaching his countrymen how to wash themselves after having sex. What do you think Oldtimer is that stimulating you.

Sounds to me that OT doesn't trust any elected official not to stuff their own pockets and take lobbyist/bribe money.

Say aren't sheriffs elected in Montana? :?

I've heard it from a reliable source, that there are a lot of "nutsos" in Montana that want to be leaders.

I wonder who the TEA party candidates will vote for to take Nasty's job??
The "establishment" might not be in charge.

So hypo do you want to bet on whether Christine gets elected in November?

I would be willing to say in a heavily democratic state such as Delaware, she has about as much chance as Chris Cristy winning in Dem NJ or Scott Brown of winning the Kennedy designated seat in Massachusetts ..

it ain't going to happen.. no way a long shot like that has a chance in hell of even winning the primary... zip.. suckers bet... sorry no takers here.. :?

I would say that is one condescending remark to a black person at the least, and shows that subtle racism that still exist in your neck of the woods..

to think in this day and age a black person in a suit at a conservative rally must be rare, (less the 5%) or paid is a bit backward to say the least..

BTW Barack only claimed "Fully 96 percent of black voters supported Obama"
leaving a margin for error and about 4% of the remaining Black vote as conservative republicans.. (statistics would claim) effectively for every 100 persons at a conservative rally, at least 2 would be black and at least 10 would be minorities.. rare.. not by any ones definition..

Whether or not she is elected in Nov. wasn't the point of the thread. There is a slight chance thaat she does, but as Steve said, she wasn't supposed to win against Castle either.

Do you still think the Tea Party is an extension of the Republican party? This was a message sent to the Republican party, if they choose to listen. They are willing to back a Dem. too, if the Dem. pledges to follow only a short list of guiding principles.

not that I ever cared for castle, but he lost alot of conservatives respect after the election...

he was gracious enough to call his democratic opponent the morning of his loss, and wish him well in the election.. but has not called his republican primary opponent yet..

local word is Castle will endorse Coons,.. so much for "party loyalty"..

Coons? You mean the "bearded Kenyan Marxist"? He's as "radical" as they claim O'Donnel is.

Many of the elections will be decided by Independents, and they are none too happy with obama and the Dems at present. It also looks like a lot of Dems. will be staying home on election night.

For Deleware Statewide Offices:
Democratic Voter Turnout = 12 %
Republican Voter Turnout = 31 %

obama has dropped in approval ratings in Delware by 16 points. Hopefully he shows up to help Coons campaign. :D

O'Donnell to summit: 'We're not taking our country back, we are our country' By Shane D'Aprile - 09/17/10 05:20 PM ET
Delaware's Republican Senate nominee may not be as fiery on the stump as some of her Tea Party-backed counterparts, but Christine O'Donnell succeeded in bringing the crowd at the Family Research Council's Value Voters Summit to its feet Friday.

It was obviously a friendly audience and O'Donnell appeared at ease, despite delivering a speech that she likely had little time to practice. If you believe Democratic candidate Chris Coons and national Dems when they say they're not taking anything for granted in this race, O'Donnell might have just shown why.

Speaking to a packed ballroom of social conservatives activists, O'Donnell took some clear shots at the left, like this one -- "They'll buy your daughter an abortion, but they won't let her buy a sugary soda in a school vending machine."

But overall, her tone was softer than the vast majority of the summit's speakers and she was well recieved.

"The small elite don't get us," O'Donnell said. "They call us wacky, they call us wing nuts. We call us--we the people."

She said conservative activists were too often derided by political opponents as just "an aging crowd of former Reagan staffers and home schoolers."

And she cut against the grain of the message that adorns Sen. Jim DeMint's Senate Conservatives Fund website. "We're not taking our country back," O'Donnell said. "We are our country."

O'Donnell's speech comes just three days after she was thrust into the national media spotlight thanks to her stunning upset of Rep. Mike Castle (R-Del.) in Delaware's Senate primary. O'Donnell faces Coons this fall.

O'Donnell will also be the guest of honor at a last-minute fundraiser for FRC's political action committee early Friday evening. Cost for admission is $150 a ticket.

O'Donnell was originally supposed to meet Friday with National Republican Senate Campaign Chairman John Cornyn (R-Texas) in Washington, but that meeting was postponed due to scheduling issues, according to O'Donnell's campaign.
