Hey Slower ponies question for you

Help Support Ranchers.net:

Taking a sample of 10% of the cows in the pasture gives you a good cross section.
Just so you don't get confused--100 cows, take 10 samples. :p
But you can get by with less...usually the younger cows will show
more egg count than the older cows.
Mark on the bag what each sample is, even cow numbers if you want, but old cow, 2-year old, etc.

In case you havent taken fecals before, I'll give you a few tips.
Gather them warm
 (going out about noon when they are lying down, and
when they get up, you usually have a sample... :? and then keep
the samples cold before you send them off...not
frozen but cold. Send them out early in the week with ice packs so they
stay cool...

Where are you sending them? I don't advise having a vet run the
samples UNLESS he has a Wisconsin Spinner and not many do have
that. If you need an address to send them to, just let me know.

Slower Ponies, huh? :D There is more truth to that than you
realize... :p

Hope this helps!
