After seeing RA's pic of his Watusi bull.....Didn't Les Hollers' family get into the Watusi's back in the late 70's-early 80's? That would be in your neck o the woods. Whatever happened to them?

I never knew the family very well, but they sold out of ranching back in the 1980's. Les was a policeman in Rapid City, and was killed in the line of duty by a speeding motorist. His brother Loren lives in Alaska. Their dad Larry had a motel in Chadron, and is now retired. I don't know much about their involvement with Watusi cattle.

Saddletramp works on a neighboring ranch, and seems to be doing well. He was one of the featured performers at the cowboy poetry gathering in Elko in January. He bought a some cows from me last winter. Haven't seen him real lately, but think he's doing fine.
