Did any of yall hear about a problem at College Station involving bad feed(National brand) & horse deaths? Got an e-mail about it, but don't want to pass it on without checkin it out first.

I got an e-mail from a gal (can-chaser) about 57 horses in Texas dying because of bad feed. Since it named a particular feed company, I wasn't about to forward the e-mail to folks I know without checkin it out. I did some other checks, but found nothing. That's when I went on here with the question. Should have know that it was already covered here  But after I read that thread, I'm thinkin that that's what she was talkin about. Hard telling who she heard it from, but I sent her the info that you provided so she could straighten her contacts out

LOL..it just gets hard to do school stuff , work and play on the puter. I read just dont get a lot of time to post. Just have to see what this semester does...got to finally break down and take spanish..lol Should be fun with this E.Texas twang lmao...I have tried to talk spanish and it all rolls out to slow. I get laughed at a lot when I try to do any foreign language. Just got to pass a semester of it and then I am done. Then I move on to my internship...and then graduate hopefully.

But seriously now, yah I got the flyin pests controlled. Got one of them trap type thingies that goes on a gallon milk jug. Ya put some gawd awful smellin stuff in it & the flys come in groves. Put it up in the alley of the stall area & it seems to be doin the job. Never had so many flyin critters as this year. Got one colt that was just stompin shoes off cuz of them

Yep even here they been bad. I have used those fly traps before...they do catch them for sure. First time in years we been having the big horse flys. Then things are almost deadly they dont care what they bite. That fly spray that I sent ya the name of is the only thing I found to conquer them at all.

Glad you got some control on them....

I used the Endure by Farnam for years....I have heard that the others have gotten better as well. But, that friend I spoke of..she said what she does now is take a cloth soak it in the fly spray and zip lock it..take the rag out and wipe it against the grain of hair on legs and belly and it is working a lot better now. She says she doesnt know why, that someone had told her to try it with all the problems we all are having these days and says that her horses have quit swatting and stomping so bad.

Well my friend here it is again ...lol maybe ya cant delete it here lmao... :p
