Did you get some shaking where you live?
Guess we didn't lose California this time.

No that is the road. There is probably about 1,500 feet elevation difference between where I was standing and the road.I hate to sound dumb, but is that irrigation pipe winding through the bottom?
It probably wouldn't take too much shaking to start those rocks moving. Hope that's not some of the country that needs new fence. We always say we don't want to be on the road going up the canyon if we have an earth quake here. All those fingers leading up the hill above the road are rock stacked as steep as you can stack rock. Rock a foot to 4 feet through. A good shake and that stuff will be coming down the hill. Walk over to that edge and trip you might roll clear to the bottom.

The canyon is steep enough that it is it's own fence. But both sides of the canyon in that picture burned. It probably wouldn't take too much shaking to start those rocks moving. Hope that's not some of the country that needs new fence.
Uncle and my dad looked at a 790 section ranch in Green River Utah that had a large reef the pretty much fenced one whole side. The canyon is steep enough that it is it's own fence. But both sides of the canyon in that picture burned.
