The first show was alright-it looks like they are just following a few specific guys but Ty was in the picture right at the end for a minute or so. I hope they break down and show some of the good bronc rifdes we saw last summer. Sierra Stoney cussing the guy who cut her off was pretty funny.

I just hope they don't keep re-running that poor guy getting stomped on the head every week. :? Other than that, it looks like it's going to be pretty good.

Yeah Cool Alley kind of got the best of Dustin on that deal-I wished they'd of showed the guys riding in the blizzard at Bonneyville that first weekend.

Just looking at it sends shivers up my back. I love to watch rodeo, but it the wrecks give me flashbacks to the day the cow tried to kill me. Every time someone gets slammed by a big old bull's head I feel it.

Now if there was a way to do it without anyone getting ground into the dust and stomped..........

To me this weeks episode clearly shows that Wyatt doesn't want to rodeo. His parents push him into it. I think thats very unfair for the kid. The kid is terrified and thats whats gonna get him seriously hurt or killed. He's just there to please his 'parent's dream'. How sad is that.

Not sure if the cameras portraying that deal completely accurate-those young guys are all different to guide along. Some need a little push to achieve what they are capable of and some need to be reined in a bit in regards to riding hurt. I think Wyatt was as much discouraged from the way he was drawing and the nagging injuries as anything. When your climbing on Calgary Stampede, Kesler, Franklin etc colts they are hard to get by when things are going good-if you can survive your Novice years your most times ready to ride in the open-the horses are a bit ranker but you usually have a better idea of what's coming. That Lea Park rodeo they showed is one of my favorites to go to-the 'Wild Ride' Sunday night is priceless.

I got on some bareback horses in high school, mostly because I wanted to and partly because my Dad DIDN'T want me too. :D I found out on my own that being 6'4" and 155 lbs was not how bareback riders were built.

There was another kid that was starting to ride SB, Dad was at every rodeo, big ranch, Dad had been a good rider, etc. I witnessed that kid getting a thumping from the old man every rodeo they went to because the kid didn't want to ride.
No wonder when the old man died the family sold the ranch and the kid took a completely different direction in life.

The worst I saw was a Dad who only worked the other end cussing out his kid for having trouble getting on a bad chute fighter in pee wee strs. We told him to either shut up and get in there and help him or we'd run a bull in for him so he could show us how it was done. I get more worried watching little girls on raunaway barrel horses than anything-I'd rather sort bulls than run the out gate. Wyatt's Dad Skeeter is a good guy he puts on a great bronc riding school with Dave Shields Sr. every year.
