History Of "The Pledge of Allegiance"

http://www.ushistory.org/documents/pledge.htm

In its original form it read:
As I Learned It:
"I pledge allegiance to my (the) Flag and (to) the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

In 1954 the Words:
one nation under God,

In the Past I did not say this Part but NOW I USE THE GENERIC TERM "GODs"

MEANING EVERYONE'S GODs
